The acoustics of the Ford Amphitheatre are simply stunning. The seating arrangement can leave you pretty far away, but fortunately some extremely large video screens give you closeups of the stage. Only real problem is that its completely outdoors, but covered, which can still prove bothersome during a rain storm. Drinks are as expensive as usual for any entertainment complex.

First, I am a not quite converted Bucs fan. I agreed to it to get my husband's loyalty for the Cardinals baseball team. Regardless of the team playing, this is a cool outdoor stadium. It is very open, really being more like a giant ampitheatre. Add in the giant pirate ship and you have a party! First time visitors will jump when the cannons boom after a touchdown. Only in Tampa, where Mardi Gras beads are for every occasion.

Great venue for local bands of any type, they have bands playing all the time. Voted Ybor's best music venue two years in a row. It can get a bit crowded inside when theres a popular band playing but theres enough room to get some breathing space if you want. Only real problem is the lack of variety, most of the bands are rock/emo.

This is a great place to spend an afternoon. We went here on vacation, and it was really a lot of fun. The atmosphere is very nice. All of the people taking bets were very nice and didn't mind explaining things. It didn't cost hardly anything to get in and then you get to watch horses all afternoon. I think it's a great way to pass away the afternoon. It's very relaxing.

This station is part public television, part instructional television and part local television. At almost anytime in the evening there will be something interesting being shown. Instructional television serves its purpose, but most of the general public would not be interested. The local aspect of the station often illuminates events and locations that may not otherwise get much media attention. I can always count on seeing something that improves my day.

Kids city is a great place for kids. Not only is it fun for them but it is also educational. They have free parking which is a bonus. I know that when I bring my kids here that they will come out learning something new. The price of admission is so cheap as well! There are exhibit for toddlers and younger kids and their parents to explore. Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Borders surpasses its big competition by offering a huge selection of media in a very customer-friendly environment. The music section alone is better than most stores that specialize in CDs and the DVD selection is worthy of equal boasts. As for their book offerings, not only do they stock an impressive collection, they have public terminals through the store to make finding what you need quick and easy.
Whenever I've had need to place a special order, they've always come through--even on the hard-to-find titles.
The café is another big draw that brings me back to Border's regularly. The hot chai latte is delicious and the panini sandwiches are worth the trip alone.

The Big Cat Rescue is a great place to take children of all ages. The atmosphere is really like a jungle and the animals are clean and well fed. The staff are very nice and the donation is a fair amount considering what the donation is going for. You will leave the Big Cat Rescue with a good feeling knowing that there are people who truely care about neglected animals.

I was quite amazed when entering the Tampa Theater. I didn't know it would be as pretty as it is. It is essentially built in an art-deco style, with Egyptian motifs throughout. If you are looking for "art house" films, this is the place to go. They regularly show interesting films that mainstream theaters wouldn't bother with. They also have a variety of other events--speakers, bands, authors, etc. A very interesting space to visit. I think they also have a "behind-the-scenes" tour on Saturdays.
