Governor's Square Mall is two stories and has a lot of good stores.
They often hold events like fashion shows and arts and crafts vendors on the weekends.
There is a small food court and an island of candy/gumball machines. There is also a movie theatre nearby, but not connected to the mall.
There is, however, no arcade. There are, in fact, no video games at all, which is the worst part of this mall.

It saddens me to see some of the dogs at Petland. They are in small cages and some of them are months old. being a pet lover, i want to rescue all of them but know that I cannot.
My husband and I asked about prices on a few dogs and they were outrageuous. My advice- go through a breeder for a healthier dog or even better adopt.

While looking for a new banking institution after a disaster at a large bank we stumbled upon Envision. We opened both checking and savings accounts to see if we liked this credit union before refinancing our cars though them. They have been fantastic! We have been with them for over four years now and have checking, savings, two car loans and a credit card though them. Their bill payer feature is excellent. Their online service is great and works with both Microsoft Money and Quicken. I highly recommend them. Despite moving out of state, we have no plans to switch to another bank or credit union.

My husband and I registered here for our wedding. The service was wonderful. When we first registered, the staff helped us find items we were looking for and had great advice on what to register for.
Later, after the wedding, we were easily able to return duplicate items or items we did not want any longer.

I found out about this salon through a friend, and I am so excited about it. I have always gone home down south to get my hair hi-lighted, but not anymore. I went to Tre' L and Lindsey did my hair. She did the best hi-lights , and I even learned that they don't use bleach there to do them. It was a great experience and I am so happy. She did three different colors in my hair. It looks great!! All the people there were so nice. Everyone there talks to you and makes you feel so good. I highly recommend Tre' L to anyone who wants to go someone that knows what they are doing, and knows all the new ways to do it. I will be definitely be going back!

I found Dr. Perry when I was new to Tallahassee in Dec. 2004 or Jan. 2005. After calling several doctors that I had been referred to all had waiting lists. That tells me all I need to know about these offices. I called Dr. Perry's office and they were just starting out here in Tallahassee and I was able to get an appointment for the same day as they didn't have many patients established in the practice yet. I found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and willing to help and give directions as I was new to the area. I had many questions about Dr. Perry before I would set up an appointment to interview him to decide if he would be a good fit as a doctor for me. Typically I find that staff get annoyed and protective when I ask questions like.. How old is the Dr. How long has he had a private practice. Where did he goto school? Family Dr. or Internist? When the office is closed who takes call? What hospital does he have privileges at? Etc. They were more than happy to take the time to answer all my questions. I went in with my list of questions to ask him. I ask all sorts of questions. Some that pertain to my health issues and issues that I want to know where the doctor stands but that do not pertain to me. He impressed me with his current knowledge but also his approach to issues such as a rare condition I have. When you are educated on your condition and have information on possible treatments that you would like to consider he will take the time to discuss those treatments and all others available. Dr. Perry is a fabulous clinician. His diagnostic skills are fantastic. I feel that the reason he is such a great doctor is because he really takes the time to sincerely listen to you and does not double book his patients and have to rush you through your appointments. He is not about throwing drugs at you. When there is not a need for antibiotics or other Rx's he does not prescribe them which to me is a plus because I feel that doctors over prescribe drugs far too often. Masking the symptoms rather than getting to the root of the problem and fixing it. Dr. Perry has been my primary care doctor as well as my daughters primary care doctor since January 2005 (3 years) Overall I think he is the best primary care doctor I have ever had! I would recommend him as a family doctor to any family. I have never ever had a problem getting a same day appointment when I am sick!

This is the "Southwood Gate" since it is right by Southwood.
There is a boot scraper outside of the front doors--thus the title of my review.
The staff here is really really nice. They are friendly, helpful, and make even a quick stop into the store a pleasant one.
Access isn't too convenient from capital Circle, but it's right off of Blairstone.

More
The Tallahassee Museum of History and Natural Science (formerly the Jr. Museum) is a great place to get to know Tallahassee better. They have three main sections: the historical area, the wildlife trails, and the educational buildings. The wildlife trails are probably the most interesting to both adults and kids, as you get to come in close proximity of indegenous animals such as ocelot, the grey fox, the florida panther, american aligators, golden hawk, white-tailed deer, and black bears. They also have a feature exhibit that usually houses animals that are on loan from another zoo or museum (i.e. penguins, baby tigers, monkeys, etc). The historical exhibit is a functional farm that displays how people in the area lived hundreds of years ago. There is also a much smaller exhibit about the indegenous Native American tribes that lived and migrated through the Tallahassee area. The educational buildings are geared towards younger children - giving them a chance to interact with the nature and history at a more physical level (touch, roleplay, etc) I know my favorite room when I was growing up was the bird watching room/aquarium where you could touch living sea creatures that you might find off of the nearby Gulf Coast (starfish, sanddollars, etc). These educational facilities are also the core of the museum's summer day camps - where children get a deeper understanding of the Tallahassee area through history and natural science. They also have a snack bar and a gift shop.
The admission fees are listed on their website (http://www.tallahasseemuseum.org/) and do not exceed $8. If you have a family with children, I would recommend becoming a member for $50/.year - which gets you unlimited visits, a discount, and some guest passes for your family. They host a variety of community and fundraising events throughout the year (i.e. Jazz & Blues festival, Market Days, Folklife Festivals, and Native American Festivals).

This sports bar has some of the best wings in Tallahassee. Play darts or billiards as you scarf down a delicious burger and a cold, refreshing beer. Or just sit in front of one of their many TVs to watch any sports game on. The servers at AJ's are some of the hottest and you'll make plenty of excuses to see them over and over. Food will be the last thing on your mind as the night progresses and AJ's turns into a bar. The top of AJ's is open and the live music can be heard from afar. Almost everyday of the week they have a drink special going on. On Tuesdays, play a game of heads or tails for a chance at a free shot.
