We had a chance to choose between CHP and BC/BS. We chose CHP. Big mistake. When nobody was REALLY sick, it worked perfectly. Doctor visits, lab tests, all okay. Then cancer hit. The continuous hassle to get CHP and Moffitt Cancer Center to agree on anything makes me sicker than the chemo. I am sitting at my keyboard with my stomach in knots and tears in my eyes. Once again I made arrangements for coverage far, far in advance. CHP says everything okay. Don't worry. Next week I have two appointments. I called to check - just to make sure. It's like they never heard of me. I am going to have cancer until I die. The constant hassle of getting approvals is so demoralizing I am actually considering canceling my appointments. Do not use CHP if you have any other choice.

I'd rather die from lack of insurance than deal with this company again. This company made a huge error on my account- which I tried to fix EVEN THOUGH it was their error & they've done nothing to make it better- it's haunting. they are not customer friendly, they lack understanding, compassion & I'm not totally sure they grasp the concept of good business. The doctors in their network however, were entirely professional as well as those offices- it was particularly CHP themselves & their own records & books I will never deal with again. My husband recently had the opportunity to give us both insurance again through them or the other carrier here- and we found it humerous anyone NEEDED to ask us... Hands down- we pay more for a company that works with it's customers & puts them ahead of all else. PROS: You have insurance. CONS: You find you paid for service you won't be getting!
