Their return policy on Notebook computers is horrible. We just purchased one last night (less than 24 hours ago) and they refuse to give our money back. Seriously, make sure you want and it's exactly what you want it before opening it otherwise CompUsa will have your money forever and there's no getting it back. I can understand a restocking fee, but damn ONLY a store credit? This makes us appreciate Circuit City's policies MUCH more! That's the shadiest policy I've ever heard of. Funny how when we were in the store last night, I never saw that policy plastered like most stores. I was actually looking too - maybe just not in the correct areas. However it's our fault that we trusted they'd be like most other chains. Ha! Oh well.
We won't be purchasing much, if anything, from them in the future.

CompUSA is a pretty decent store, as chain stores go. It has a large variety of items, a bewildering amount of software, and a huge selection of printers and scanners and digital cameras. Just about any of the latest models can be found here, more than at some of the other large stores.
The staff are helpful, if you can catch one. They tend to spend a lot of time with customers, often getting into lengthy conversations about the items. This is great if it's you who is being so helped, but if you're the one waiting it can be very frustrating! ;-)
I understand that they also do some computer repair, although since I always do my own I've never had reason to use them for that.
