The News Tribune (often referred to as TNT) is an OK paper, nothing special. The columnists are hit-and-miss, and sometimes (like much local news coverage, and some national) the choice of lead articles is a bit lightweight. Sports coverage is pretty good, though. Personally in an overall sense I prefer the Seattle papers, particularly the P-I, but TNT has coverage of local events that I would not be able to get for those papers. Based on that, if you live in Tacoma or the surrounding areas and want a daily paper, this is really the only choice you have, and is generally acceptable.
