I am sooooooo glad I found these folks! They are the BEST and most honest mechanics I have ever found. Really NICE guys. Whenever I've had car issues or just needed to get it maintenanced, they have always been so nice and upbeat, always gotten me in readily and communicated the whole way. I've never had my van up there longer than one day.
They worked on my partner's Camaro too, from when he had it sitting in Army storage for a year. They love old muscle cars :). They have always come in under estimate, have given me the highest quality parts and done the best service that any of my cars has ever had.
I have a very weird minivan (Toyota Previa) that every mechanic runs away from when I pull in. Even Toyota dealers grumble at the site of my van. Not these guys! They had no fear! My engine is under my seat and everything is configured backwards and upside down (good old Japanese engineering, it looks funny, it's hard to work on, but it runs so efficiently this way).
When one of the parts they used was defective, they instantly replaced it with a hearty apology, and of course for free. They are always accomodating to me as a single mother with 3 kiddos - they work on my car first since they know that it's my only source of transport.
They really support the "little guy" here, and this father/son team of expert mechanics will ALWAYS get my business. These are the type of guys who are happily contented to tinker and toil on parts and cars for kicks. They KNOW what they are doing! They are "old school" friendly, polite, professional and do business the way it used to be done, honestly, no gimmicks, word-of-mouth advertising, and with a handshake and trust.
I like that these gentlemen treat me like a lady too, not some wallet overflowing with cash. Gotta respect that.

You gotta sift through the industrial area to get to this waterfront ambience but it's worth it. After waiting at the the train tracks for the train to pass at at 7:30 on a Saturday, we made our reservation 10 mins. late.
It's a Marina! WOW!
The wait staff came in droves assisting but not intruding. You can tell that they are all about teamwork at Johnny's!
Seafood is their specialty but I had steak with Johnny's seasoning, of course.
The cocktails are strong and wine glasses small. Dinner was moderate-high in the price range...but worth it.
Johnny's is a perfect balance of ambience and sensory delight...and the location gives Tacoma a BIG city feel.

Very pushy salespeople. I went there last Summer. Then I went there last month. They have some of the worse sales people I have run into. After saying I was just looking he left without say goodby or giving his car. This was the best part is that he can't call me.
Go to South Tacoma Honda to purchase. Look at Fife since it easy access from I-5

Before my partner got back from Iraq in November 2004, we decided to buy him a Z3. We had been researching it on the internet when he was in Iraq (gotta love today's Army!). The day after he got back, I got a phone call from him asking me to come down to BMW Northwest to check out a little 2000 silver Z3 Roadster. I was excited of course, because I drive a minivan!
We spoke with a salesperson by the name of Kenneth Rachal, who was just a great guy. Not some slick used car salesman. Since my partner was so emotional about being back and getting a neat little Z3, I did the negotiating and dealing with them. They came down $4k in the price and we picked it up for $23k and change. I thought it was a good deal for 36k miles on a 2000 roadster, 2.8 engine.
The only part that was bad about all of this was that when they went to install the aftermarket alarm in their shop, they did it wrong. Turns out though that all aftermarket alarms on BMWs don't work right. We didn't know this until we talked to my BMW afficianado uncle who had this same problem on his BMW.
Great service, great selection, and really nice staff. I'm a tough cookie when it comes to big purchases, and I didn't feel like I was getting "sold." Granted, we were going to get this car anyway (how can you say no to a newly arrived, battle-hardened soldier who wants me to drive his Z3?? LOL), so I would go back if I were in the market for another BMW.
