I have to agree with the previous posting. Virginia is nice but she is not a good divorce attorney when it comes to difficult cases!! My bill was over $20,000.00 and all she had done was file papers. For that matter she only showed up once in court and had her assistant there the rest of the time. My case I feel was way over her head and if you disagreed with her she made you pay for it. She even went as far as to basically try and quit two days before we went to court. I hope that she has changed quite a bit and maybe she would be good in a straight forward divorce but if anything is out of the ordinary, I would not bother with her. Take the time to find someone else.

She handled my divorce, and all I got for her services was a $20,000 bill, for basically nothing. She worked for McKinley and Irvin in Federal Way at the time, who I thought were a bunch of shady dealers. They saw how much my case was worth. I feel that they didn't care if I got what I deserved, and gave me bad legal advice. I feel like all I came out of it with was pennies a month for 2 kids and a half of our home's equity.
I had a 13 month long case over a $5mil/year small business. I do not have confidence in her small business law skills. It was so far into the game and I was getting broke and I was in school, otherwise I would have changed attorneys. I felt that she was weak at advocating for me and my kids.
I wish I would have looked into attorneys, but when you're a stay at home mom with two young babies who is suddenly served with divorce papers out of the blue in what you thought was a good marriage (ladies, I had NO idea that my ex did what he did, he hid it well and quickly closed ranks after he left me), you go with who you can get.
Not worth the $185/hour, and I ended up firing her at the end and getting a better deal for myself, by myself!!! I just think that all the money I paid her could have bought 1 college education for my kids. What a waste. At least I got my kids!
Don't get me wrong, she's a nice person and all, but maybe a little too nice. She might be really good for your case, and maybe mine was a little over her head and complicated for her. She would be a good attorney for an uncomplicated, straight divorce, but not one with larger assets involved. Who knows, my divorce was 2003-2004, so maybe she's brushed up on her small business law skills by now.
