CompUSA is a pretty decent store, as chain stores go. It has a large variety of items, a bewildering amount of software, and a huge selection of printers and scanners and digital cameras. Just about any of the latest models can be found here, more than at some of the other large stores.
The staff are helpful, if you can catch one. They tend to spend a lot of time with customers, often getting into lengthy conversations about the items. This is great if it's you who is being so helped, but if you're the one waiting it can be very frustrating! ;-)
I understand that they also do some computer repair, although since I always do my own I've never had reason to use them for that.

I personally just going to auctions to listen and watch people, but this is also a good place to go to get furniture and tools and other things. The only thing is that some of the auctions are during the week so if you work a normal 9-5 job, you are not able to go. It is also a good place to start going if you have not been to an auction before because it is easy to get the hang of it here. You can buy great stuff at great prices.

I love this water store. The water is great and the prices are good. We pay 8.00 for a card with 4 water bottles on it. The staff fill the water bottles quickly and bring them to your car. The do have a contest they run every month with the water cards but I have yet to win. The hours are great...retail hours and the parking is ample.

Randy and his crew are great painters and great people. They do nothing but great work. We had some really specific colors picked out that we wanted used on our house, but they presented some difficulty because some of the darker shades were likely to have trouble with fading/chalkiness. Randy came through on helping us get paint that was going to do the job in the colors we wanted, and the house looks great. Definitely a first-call dude. (And he can play some mean trumpet, too.)

We just got the roof re-done on our house a couple of months ago and used this place. We got 3 different quotes and although this one was the more expensive one they did a lot more like patched up a place in the attic and made sure everything else was in working condition. They were very quick and did a wonderful job cleaning up. The customer service is wonderful as we got a call checking up on the status after the roof was finished. We are very happy with the new roof.

This just looks like a crazy junkyard in the heart of the city on driveby, but treasures lie therein. All sorts of old appliances, fixtures, etc., just crazy stuff, waiting to be saved or otherwise "recycled". It's really quite the experience and a definite "must visit" for the home remodeler or fixer-upper or really anyone else that enjoys exploring piles of old stuff to look for treasures.

Learning Sprout specializes in teaching supplies and caters to teachers -- but I LOVE to shop here for gifts for my children and others. Why? Games built to endure the wear and tear of 25 first graders can certainly withstand use by my children. ALSO, many of the staff members here are teachers so they can easily and expertly point me toward books that address my children's needs or likes. Learning Sprout carries a large selection of Thomas the Tank toys, science kits, and puzzles and toys from manufacturers including Ravensburger & FX Schmidt, Melissa & Doug, Lamaze, and Fractiles.

It took only a day or two for J Brower to come out to look at our facility. Once out they said they could come back in a day or two end of the week at the latest to give an estimate. Well, they never showed. We called to see what the hold up was and they said they will fax us a bid when it is done it isn't done yet. So we are going on 2 weeks now and we don't even have a bid yet! Poor Service if you ask me especially in June when we really need this to be resolved quickly....

I've visited Software Alternative since it was a tiny little place that specialized in shareware, back before there really was much of an internet and very few people were online. They carried games, fonts, clipart, and all kinds of tools and utilities and other shareware solutions.
They're still there, and they still carry software, but the focus seems to be more on popular and shareware games now. They also have printer ink catridge refilling kits, and all kinds of cables and other gadgets you might need for your system. The staff are knowledgeable and experienced, too.

Totally knew his stuff. I'd trust this guy with my kids, even though you can tell he's lost his passion for it. Maybe it was the time of day we went, who knows, but it was like he was just "working there." Really knew his stuff though, smart guy.
The only detractor here is that I felt that we were rushed in and out, and like they were all reading from scripts that they repeated 50 times a day to every patient. We were seen for barely a few minutes when a definitive diagnosis was given, part of the pitfalls of Western medicine. I didn't even know what questions to ask about this, and I felt like a deer in the headlights. I felt like I wasn't listened to, and I'm in the medical field, so I know what providers have to do with patients and their limitations by insurance.
I didn't schedule the surgery for my son, even though they pressured me to, twice, by two of their female staff members. I felt like I was getting the hard-sell from a used car lot. Just made me feel creepy, so his dad and I agreed to get a second opinion from another ENT in the Seattle area.
