Freighthouse Square is the most unique shopping experience I've ever had! The building is shaped like a long, long freight train, and that's the motif the designers went with on the inside. Adorable, unique little shops line both sides of the long, long hallway, with 1800's train decor prominent everywhere. The effect is completely unique, although I suppose that technically it could be called a 'mall' of sorts since it is all indoor shopping. Most of the little shops are gift shops, although there are a fair number of restaurants as well. In the basement, reached by a long flight of steps, are an antique shop and other areas. It's entirely possible to spend an entire day just wandering and browsing the shops, especially at Christmas! Much more fun than the regular Mall.
