I had gone here about a year ago for takeout and it was mediocre. Crust was a bit odd, and the pepperonis were oddly large and too spicy.

Decided to finally try Vito's Pizza. Ordered 2 pies and shared them with my family. Everyone was disappointed. The pies were extremely greasy, and the sauce wasn't anything to write home about. I'll continue to look for a quality new york style pizza in the bay area, but this visit didn't do it for us.

I really like their thin crust pizza with sausage on it. I'm usually more of a thick crust fan, but Vito's is the exception. It's kind of a hole in the wall restaurant, with a few video games for the kids. They sometimes have the tv on in the corner with italian soap operas or sports events playing. It's nice to finish off a meal here with an espresso shot.

After trying many pizza places in several towns we finally found true NY style pizza. Or as close you can get to it without going to the Northeast. Our favorite is plain cheese. We weren't crazy for the pastas or philly cheese steak. But the pizza is the best. They are very kid friendly (you can have a pizza party there for birthdays) Prices are very reasonable.

Folks.....You have got to try this Pizza!! Honestly.. It is without a doubt the best pizza I have ever had in the bay area. The crust is just right.. hand tossed .. not too thick and not too thin. The Italian sausage is put on the pizza in decent size globs and it tastes fantastic. They put plenty of cheese on the pizzas too. We alwats get the XL Vito's Combo so we can take some home for another meal...Yum..Yum..Excellent Pizza
Pros: Great Crust, Great Sauce, Fantastic Sausage
Cons: Anti pasta, Booth seating

This place is definitely worth checking out. One of the few decent New York-Style pizza places in the bay area.
Great service, great food, decent prices... The ambience leaves a little something to be desired, but, everything else gets high marks.
I've been going here at least once a week for at least 5 years.
Great for lunch. Quick sandwiches and slices.
Try the Calzones... They're unbelievable.
Pros: excellent food, top-notch service, great for lunch
Cons: ambience is lacking

Since relocating from Long Island seven years ago I have been searching for "real" southern New York style pizza. Finally, I stumbled across Vito's. Having been let down so many times, I had my doubts.
When my order came, I knew I found a slice of home!
Great job Vito!
Pros: Perfect Crust, Good Sauce, Inexpensive
