Decent home-style Italian in Sunnyvale 11/18/2005

If you're looking for some basic, home-style Italian you can always try Gumba's in downtown Sunnyvale. The food is not inspiring, and the decor is a bit dated, but the price is right. It has a VERY loyal following of long time Sunnyvale residents, and is usually quite busy. more

Gumba's in downtown Sunnyvale serves authentic Italian food. Gumba's has got to have the best portions when it comes to pizzas. Its medium pizza is around the same size as a large elsewhere and its large is extra large. Their calzone is also huge as it can feed 2 people. The other dishes however don't come quite as big, but are so tasty you wouldn't care. Good family-oriented restaurant with good food and good atmosphere. On some nights, there is a line going out the door. more
