If you're looking for excellent Chinoy (Chinese Filipino) food, this is the place to go! They serve Filipino breakfast all day, so if you have a craving for tocilog (Tocino, Eggs, and Garlic Fried Rice), longsilog (same as the other except with Longanisa), and other Filipino foods like kare kare, pinakbet, and all the things that your lola or mom used to cook. The place has a few tables if you want to dine in, or you can get it to go, as well.

Sawa Sushi is an unpretentious restaurant that serves the best Japanese cusine ever!....even better than cuisin in Japan! The chef is also the owner, and he personally takes care of your palate by deciding the type of dishes your tastebuds desire; it's amazing how he can figure out your preference simply by carrying on an easy conversation with you. You don't need to read menu and try to make any decision (as each dish is so special which doesn't exist on standard menu.) You can trust the chef to totally take care of your dining experience! Every bite is a deligtful and palate-tantalizing experience. This is a authentic top-quality Japanese restaurant as the chief only uses best organic ingredients. Most of the customers are Japanese executives who know how to appreciate and enjoy fine cuisines. The value is not much different from any fine-dinning restaurant and does justify the quality.

but if you want great food and good prices this is the place to go
i loved there biryani and chicken tikka masala
they have so many choices its amazing
they also have indio chinese which is much better here than at some other places
their chicken noodles are just to die for
DEFINETLY RECCOMENDED

This is the best sushi I've found in the area. The sushi is always fresh, the staff is friendly, the portions generous and the food delicious. It's a great place to go with friends or on a date. The atmosphere is inviting and I like the decor. The bento boxes are a great deal. There's so many choices to pick from and there's something for everybody.
Pros: Ambience, Parking, Generous portions

Every now and then I get a craving for quick chinese, I've found this place has good quality and maintains low prices. Better than the quick service chain restaurants located around. Especially like the fact that you get soup with every combo order.
I stop by a couple times a month on the drive home, and always enjoy it.
Pros: Quick service, good food, good value

I had the best sushi ever on Tuesday!! My friends from Japan came visit this week and they requested to go to the Sushi Club. This is the first time I've been there and I didn't think I'd like it because the place is so small and unattractive. Boy, was I wrong. The food was amazing!! I am not sure if it's because my friends were able to order in Japanese, but everything that we had was fantastic.
We order tons of toro sashimi and nigiri (my favorite!) -- so fresh and inexpensive compared to the other sushi places. We also order, the bamboo shoots, salmon skin salad, octopus, deep-fried flounder, crab and avocado salad, etc. I couldn't name it all because we ended up ordering everything!! I highly recommend this place!

I was at Hanamaru sushi restaurant on Friday with my friends.
Alothough it takes about on an hour from San francisco to drive to sunnyvale, it was definitely worth it.
The restaurant doesn't look super fancy, but their interior looks clean and cute.
We sit in the bar, the sushi chef was very friendly(although his english wasn't good), the food was yummy.
Actually, I though this place is even better than some japanese restaurant in Japan town.
I and my friends really enjoyed the food and the service!
It was one of the best japanese restaurant!

Good food (ordered fairly simple dishes which were well done). Nice setting (I love eating outdoors). Reasonable prices. There are a lot of good restaurants on Castro, but I'd go to Tien Fu again.
