I paid $60 (+$15 1800flowers fee) for an arrangement of roses, lilies, carnations, and some pink and purple daisy-like flowers as advertised on 1800flowers for my wife this past Mother’s Day. The Frugal Flower sent me an arrangement with 15 daisy-like flowers and 4 roses (I counted). My daughter asked me if I got them at the grocery store. Some of the smaller, filler-type flowers were dying, brown, and droopy. I buy my wife flowers approximately 10 times per year. Based upon my experience, the Frugal Flower provides poor quality for the money you pay.
Customer service is very poor too. I called to express my dissatisfaction; the manager, Craig, told me that he was positive I got my money's worth. He said I should expect only a $45 arrangement if I pay $75 online because the Frugal Flower also charges a $15 fee (in addition to the 1800flowers $15 fee). Despite Craig's badmouthing of 1800flowers, 1800flowers arranged to have another florist deliver better flowers.
Pros: They are not the only florist in the area.
Cons: Poor quality, poor customer service

I used to order from Frugal Flowers in Sudbury all the time. For years, actually. But my brother just passed away and the lilies that my husband and I ordered through FTD came from Frugal Flowers and it was all unopened lilies. Can you believe that? To a wake, unopened lilies. And they stayed unopened through the next day for the funeral service and remained unopened 6 days later for the burial service. This was for a death for goodness sakes. Talk about thoughtless service. Never again.

For years, I paid exorbitant prices to the big, downtown florist thinking that they were the only game in town for exceptionally beautiful floral arrangements. Then a friend started sending me arrangements from Frugal Flower for special occasions and their flowers blew me away. They consistently deliver unique combinations of gorgeous flowers -- the last arrangement I received had Gerber daisies, hydrangia, snap dragons, roses and much more, and they all lasted more than a week. I am admittedly a bit of a floral snob -- no dull arrangements with baby's breath or (yikes) carnations. Frugal Flowers arrangements are tasteful and much more reasonably priced than other top florists'.
PROS: Quality and price
CONS: Limited reach
