Clearly the best sushi ever put into my mouth. Although the slightly uncomfortable environment is a bit of a novelty and makes for a good story, it's not a full dining experience because of it. If this was just upgraded to the level of comfort sushi sasabune has I'd be there all the time.

The sushi melts in your mouth. I've been to other overly priced sushi bar and liked being there, but this one is the best. I took my Japanese mom-in-law and she confirmed that this is the best place she's been in LA. The interior is not that fancy, but who cares when you can eat the best?

Sushi Nozawa is the very best quality sushi I have ever eaten. There are no crazy rolls or fried food here, just good top notch fish. Mr. Nozawa and his wife work hard on maintaining high standards and making sure that guests have an opportunity to experience fresh fish at it's peak. I highly recommend Sushi Nozawa!

The food was excellent but the harsh glare of the ZERO-AMBIENCE fluorescent lights cheapened the experience.
The bill for two came to $86. For a 40-minute (or less) dining outing in the depressing little joint that is Sushi Nozawa, it just wasn't worth it.
I would have rated this place a 9 if the bill had been under $50.
Service was nothing to write home about.
