The Scene
Friendly patio chairs and warm window displays are inviting enough to lure even the weariest shopper inside, where appetizing aromas from cheese, wine and bread mingle. Nothing but friendly service and cozy decor abound. It's only been open since 1999, but with its neighborly service and European charm, this delightful store should take root.
The Goods
A panorama of cheeses can be found at Village Gourmet, as well as other delicacies--ranging from caviar to Dean & Deluca treats--complemented perfectly by any of the broad selection of domestic and imported wines. Food lovers on your gift list will appreciate gourmet picnic baskets, or treat yourself to a meal from the to-go bar.
