We got there in the middle of the pick season (mid September), the picking is not that great. The pears are high up on the trees and apples too. They do have ladders, but it's so heavy and not easy to move. Unless you are good at clamping up big trees... For my case, I have two young kids with me; I found it's hard. I've been to other farms around, most of other trees and ladders are more pickers friendly. They did have some areas that easy to pick, but it was not open for picking on that day. The place for animals is muddy and smelly.
We've been there couple times and it's not the first time we had this kind of experience. We are not going back anymore. Tougas farm is much better.

Honeypot Orchards are a fun time for all. WIth pick your own apples, strawberries, blueberries and more, a Saturday spent here is a good time. The prices are reasonable for pick your own. You pay per size bag, not by weight picked. You can roam over the entire orchard. Especially helpful, during apple season, they station workers throughout the orchard along with signs to direct you towards their various apple variety's (and they have got lots of them too!). They have hayrides, a hedge maze, petting zoo and farm stand too. Parking is vast and fills up quickly on the weekends (tip, go early!).

This is a farm that I take my family to every year for apple picking. When I was a teacher, I took my students as well. It's a you-pick-your-own apple farm that also has a fun corn maze in the Fall. They have a store that sells cider, jams, jelly's fruit, baked goods, pies etc.. They also have a window for fresh homemade, "hot off-the-presses" cider donuts that are out of this world! The line is ALWAYS long.
There is a nice grassy area with picnic tables if you want to bring lunch (watch out for the bees) and they have barnyard animals for all the kids to enjoy.
