We had a older dog (age 18 years old). He wouldn't eat, drink, could not walk, and could not hold his bowels or urin. We were new to the area so I called around to vets. Many of them wanted to to exploritory surgery or put the dog on iv and see what happes. My family knew what had to be done, which was very hard for us. Went went to see Dr. V, his staff was great they put us in a private room and let us spend time with our Baretta. After visit hours Dr. V put him to sleep., Baretta looked at us and smiled as he closed hs eyes. The staff was great. We had him cremated. (Dr. V went over everything with us.) We told him if we ever get another dog we would bring him to hi,. Well the next day we got Comet. We only had Comet 2 days when he got sick, we brought him to Dr. V. After he examened him , he said he had strep (we got him from Northshore). Dr. V savd his life. For the past 16 years Comet has been seeing Dr. V. I would never trust another vet. We also board him there when we go away. Dr. V treats our dog like his family. Dr V and his staff are the best. I would never trust another vet or staff with my dog.

Good: we took our dog to dr. v mmany time. we loved and trusted him. he is still a great dr. my dog was old and had to be put down. we understood that even though it was so hard.. Bad: why gia was being put down.a new assistant started asking my husband to sign papers in the middle of the procedure. we were told that would be done in another room at another time.. this is not the way it went down. in the middle of the procedure my husbank is filling out papers and doessnt check off what kind of cremation we would like. we were told that day someoone would call us a decuss price and my husband left. that was sat. on tues i called dr. vs office and i was told they only pick up on thur.. Improvements: again we we told we would talk about a price.. on fri my husband called and they said they cremated gia privately..omg we were shocked . with the economy we would have opted for a mass cremation and we explained that..over and over again they tried to say my husband said that was what we wanted... baloney.. we call dr v and explain we will take some of her ashes and guess what.. were told we said we didnt want the ashes. what a nightmare.. we call 20 times that one week and if we didnt want the ashes why. Other: are we calling.. now we have no ashes for our beloved dog because we didnt want to be taken advantage of at this terrible moment.. so please be careful i dont want this to happen to anyone else its horrible..Cheryl Sessa.
