Not only are their advertisements of BELOW wholesale prices on furniture false, but their customer service is non existant as well. Three months after ordering a dining room set which turned out to be $1100 cheaper from the manufacturer I'm still waiting for the chairs to be delivered and the damaged Hutch to be replaced. Beware, shop around, before placing an order with ELEGANT IMPORTS on Staten Island, do yourself a favor and buy SOMEWHERE ELSE. seriously.

today, Jan. 16, 2007, i am finally receiving the chairs to the dining room set that we ordered in Oct. 2006 from Elegant Imports. Hopefully the replacement Hutch for the damaged one that was delivered in Dec. will also be arriving soon. The customer service is incredibly callous and uncaring. The furniture that we ordered is beautiful. it's from Ashley, which i highly recommend. only problem is, Elegant Imports, which advertises as selling furniture at wholesale price, 50-75% off retail, priced our dining room set at $1100.00 higher than the price directly from Ashley Furniture. we thought we'd give the sale to a local business, instead we got the 'business'. i cold go on about Elegant Imports and their poor business practices, but i'll just be brief and advise anyone reading this to shop around first and don't hand over your full payment till you're 100% satisfied with your delivered merchandise.
