Yes, there are plenty of Penn State Items here, and also a few textbooks. This is a great place to buy basics supplies, too, if you're willing to pay three times the price you would pay at Walmart. THe bookstore is fine, and the staff are nice, but you can find better deals pretty much anywhere else in town. While they might carry a few unique items that nobody else has, overall it would be more worth your money to shop downtown for PSU stuff or out at the box stores for school supplies.

But really now, you can find all things PSU at almost every shop in State College, even gas stations. It would be nice to have a bookshop which specializes in books, but this is a college town, and so multi merchandise stores like the Student Book Store are expected. As for books, the store specializes in new and used textbooks for Penn State courses, and presents an alternative to the PSU bookstore.

I love the Student Book Store because it is one stop shopping. Of course they offer text books for all courses offered at Penn State. Their prices on new text books is pretty reasonable, but they have better bargains on used texts. They carry all kinds of supplies including notebooks, pens, pencils, computer software, etc. On the main level they of course have a great variety of university apparel and souvenirs. If it can be printed with the univesity's logo, you can find it here. For their clothing, the use a color coded hanger system so you know if they have it in your size based on the hanger, not on digging through racks and racks of clothes trying to find the size tag. You can also order graduation gowns, annoucements, and diploma frames here - all for the big day! They have everything Penn State for every Penn Stater!
