This is a clean, small and affordable park for the tykes who haven't graduated to the wilder rides at Disneyland. Everything here is extremely kid friendly and they offer perfect birthday parties that any five year old would be stoked to have. From what I can gather this is the last of the kids only amusement parks left in California that used to dot the coast in the late forties through the mid seventies. There used to be a quintessinal one in Hollywood called Beverly park where divorced parents to shrug off a little guilt but not it's the Beverly Center. Located just a couple of miles from Knotts Berry farm this is perfect training ground for future thrill seekers and with the exception of Thomas The Tank Engine the park is mostly free of commercialism or hard sell souveneirs. I think my only gripe about the place is that it doesn't have a funhouse or a dark ride. Once outside you can visit the Antique Doll Museum in Hobby City but rumours have it that Hobby City may be leaving soon. Visit this place if you can and wish to remember simpler times because old fashioned places like this along with the Mother Goose parks and Santa's Wonderlands are clearly becoming a memory.

I guess Adventure City is worth the trip every once in awhile. If you are visiting California and think you might want to come here, along with Knotts and Disneyland, save your money. But if you live in the vicinity and want to try something a little cheaper and different (for the kids), then give it a shot. Adults and children are about $13. They have a few rides, an arcade, petting zoo, carousel and more.

Adventure City is a VERY small amusement type park for kids under, oh, about 8 or so. Admission is fairly reasonable and the staff is pretty friendly. The park was very clean. They have about a dozen carnival type rides for which the lines were not too long (even on a weekend). There is also a great little petting zoo. My kids had a blast.

My best friend hosted her son's birthday party at Adventure City and so I brought my daughter to go. This place is such a wonderful place for kids, they have so many rides and activities to choose from. They have about 10 rides for the kids and adults can ride along with their child. They also have a petting farm, arcades and shows in their theater.

with lots of little things to do for the little ones, this is a great place to spend the afternoon and watch your kids have a ball on all the little kiddie rides. It's everything the county fair has foor your kiddies inccluding the sugar-coated sugar blobs. I went once with a couple of friends, but we didnn't have a great time (even thoughh we got in for free). So this is nnot the place for college students. But little kids,, yes. College students, no. I thinnk people thought we were perverts. Don't be a pervert, bring your kids.

This small amusement park is just down the street from Knott's Berry Farm, and is not very well known. It is a great alternative to the larger theme parks in the area if you have children still in elementary school. The rides and attractions cater to young children, and many parents are encouraged to sit alongside their kids. There is a petting zoo, arcade, small roller coaster, Thomas the Tank Engine/ Brio play area, and even a small train that traverses the tiny park. They are not open everyday, especially during the school year. Parking is not ideal, as the lot is shared by shops, but admission is only $12.95 per person, and there are sometimes discounts with your AAA card.

Adventure City is a great option for families with small children. All rides are geared to "little people" so your kids can ride to their hearts content. Although it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some of the other Anaheim amusement parks it also is much more affordable and not so overwhelming. They also offer great services for children's birthday parties.

The best thing they offer, is a great package for birthday parties. The staff clearly know what is expected in these parties, and have the routine down. Just reserve a party, and let them do all the work for you. The cost of a party, is comparable to other party places, but AC really make it worth it by keeping it stress free.

If you want a full day's worth of rides, games, treats and fun but don't want to spend $400 for a family of four, Adventure City is the place to be! With admission that hovers around $15 and a great, small scale array of kid-friendly roller coasters, rides, amusements and activities, you really can't beat Adventure City!
It's all packed into a pretty small area- so at the end of the day, you aren't dog-tired and your feet won't be killing you! Yet the lines are usually small enough and the activities are plentiful enough that the kids can play all day and not get bored!
This park is ideal for the 8 and under set, in my opinion- with most rides being suitable enough for 2 and up. There is one ride that is for older children (6+ ish?), but most rides can easily accomodate all preschool aged children.
There is a nice petting zoo, live puppet/singing shows, an arcade, a train ride and they even host birthday parties or group events. The food is totally kid-friendly, affordably priced and there is a great little Thomas the Train area for play and lots of Thomas toys available for purchase.
If you haven't been to Adventure City, you have to try it!

Located down the street from Knott's Berry Farm, Adventure City is an amusement park that caters to the 10-years-old and younger group. The rides are smaller scale, slower, and can usually include a parent to sit next to the child. The entrance price is $12.95 each for kids and adults (cheaper for seniors and with AAA discount), and is a good bargain compared to some larger theme parks where most of the rides are off limits to the kids. This is a very small park, but enough to keep the kids entertained until naptime.
PROS: inexpensive
CONS: small
