My hairstylist moved to Sonoma and told me about this great little day spa. I was extremely surprised to find such cutting edge products and services in this quaint little town. I've always loved coming to Sonoma and Napa to go wine tasting with my girlfriends but now have a whole new reason to come! I treated myself to one of the spa packages suggested by the lovely owner and had a fabulous day! My facial, body scrub and massage were the best. My skin was glowing for days, I received compliments for weeks and my brow shaping was the best I ever had! Thank you ladies for pampering me!!
Pros: professional, high-quality, caring

There is too much to say about blush and JAC hair gallery to fit into this tiny space. David, Monique and the owners made my sister's wedding day so special! The spa and salon were both very busy and there was even another wedding going on the same day but they made my sister feel like she was the most important person in the world on her day. David is the best - everyone told my sister (and all of us) how georgous her updo was and her makeup was perfect (thanks to Dolores). David, Monique and Dolores had all of us looking like models, but the best part was - they are absolutely charming and professional. I've never been treated so well in a spa or hair salon. The owners both catered to me and our family & bridesmaids, set up a table for us to bring some goodies and Dolores' adorable husband was chatting with everyone and making mimosas for all the girls. He was so sweet to my mom! We had a blast!!! David - thank you, thank you, thank you and Monique, all of the girls thank you too. Love you guys!!
Pros: professional, charming, talented

Della Santina's is one of those great restaurants where you feel
like you are at home and love to come back to over and over again! The
food is delicious and well served. The prices are more then reasonable
and the greatest aspect is the warm and friendly atmosphere. It's
clear the owner makes extensive efforts to make you feel like family.

My wife and I ate there last week while in Sonoma on vacation. The food was amazing. Great choices on the menu, extremely well prepared, and service was very good. Almost cancelled a reservation for later in the week elsewhere to return but decieded to wait until our next trip.
Pros: Menu, Setting
Cons: none

We booked a King room "Rejuvenation Package" in the newer "wine country" buildings (glad we didn't do the older "heritage" rooms.) Our room had a 4-poster bed, jacuzzi, fireplace, complimentary wine, red roses on our pillows. This was one of the most beautiful rooms we've stayed in. Our package included spa treatments. There's a co-ed water treatment room with tubs, sauna/steam you can use before/after spa services. If you take advantage of the amenities, it increases the value. We loved the first day so much that we booked extra spa treatments for the next morning. LOVED the Vanilla Float: a body scrub, vanilla-scented body wrap, followed by a vanilla smoothie in front of the fireplace when you're done. Heavenly! We didn't eat at the restaurant (french doesn't appeal to us) so we did room service which was great. If you want a lazy, pampered, indulgent, romantic weekend--this is it!
Pros: Service, Atmosphere, Pampering
Cons: Expensive

The bar at the Swiss Hotel is A BAR LOVER'S BAR. If the Mahogany and Oak walls that resemble a Hemmingway Haunt from another century could talk, I am sure they would spew stories of the days when the Sabastianis and the Gallos and the Mondavis would sit at the rail and talk about the harvest and the weather and the way the season went. And, that still takes place today.
Thge Swiss Hotel is the local's watering hole and dining room and although the bar fills up with visitors craning their necks to spot a star, the local still come out nightly to talk about the day they spent in the vineyards or the cellars.
The dining room, and the food served is equally local and it resembles the fabric of the town. Well, prepared with good sized portions, the food is some of the most consistnet on the Square. The head chef has been a staple at the restaurant for the past three years and nightly specials grace the menu that are flavorful to the palate and the pocketbook.
The dining room is appointed in a rustic inn style with a warm open patio that is covered during the winter months. The fireplace and the heaters keep the guests warm in this landmark that offers good food, excellent service and a friendly, vivial atmosphere.

We were going to go downtown yesterday and have pizza for lunch, but I wanted something more interesting, healthier, and not in the see-and-be-seen atmosphere of the place we were originally considering. So, we went to LaSalette. I had only been here once before for lunch and was happy enough to come back for a second meal.
Boy, howdy! Was it ever delicious! Rather than ordering a standard meal, we opted to order several appetizers so that we could experience more than one dish.
We started with the Sonoma Goat Cheese Empada, which was pastry filled with Goat Cheese and Mushrooms and a two sauces on the plate one which seemed to be a pepper puree and another that was some sort of sweet balsamic type of sauce. Delicious!
Next we had the Dungeness Crab Crepes with Corn and Shrimp, topped with a Grape Relish. Again, delicious!
The third course was OVER THE TOP: Seared Scallops (cooked to perfection) on a bed of mashed roasted sweet potatoes with an accompaniment of I'm not exactly sure what. All I know it was fantastically delicious and I can't stop thinking about it.
The fourth course was ordered as a palette cleanser and it was perfect: Organic Greens with Granny Smith Apples and Almonds. I don't know what the dressing was, but it was paired perfectly with the ingredients in the salad.
Then there was dessert: Balacha Maria, which I guess is the Portuguese equivalent of Tiramisu. Excellent!
Nice quiet location, nicely decorated, attentive staff and great food. We even tried a Portuguese (macao?) wine.
I highly recommend LaSalette.
