Redbones BBQ in Somerville, MA is literally some of the best bbq I've ever had. I'm from Texas, so that is a pretty bold statement. Everything that I've ordered there has been excellent--from the pulled pork to the ribs to the garlic hush puppies, you can't go wrong with what you order. The service is also great. The servers are nice and the food comes almost as quickly as it was ordered. The atmosphere is also very relaxed and casual, lending itself to many types of eating scenarios (dates, family, party, etc.). The alcohol menu is also great, providing a wide selection of beers and nifty cocktails. I highly recommend Redbones!

the food was fantastic. since i live nearby, i see the lines at all hours so i'd recommend earlier in the week - you'll wait for over an hour if you try to go on a weekend evening -- but the food is worth it. very romantic, but also good for small groups (i celebrated my birthday here with a few friends). definitely worth traveling - and i think it's the best of the trio (cuchi cuchi and tapeo).

Whether eating at the bar or one of the dining rooms, Dali is always a wonderful experience. From the moment you walk in the door the authentic Spanish music and decor will captivate your eyes, while the succulent aroma tantalizes your senses. Highly recommended: the stuffed squid in its own ink, Lobster/Crab ravioli, broiled herb and garlic quail, and of course.... the Sangria! Plan to wait for a table on a Friday or Saturday night but be assured the wait is worth it! The atmosphere is very comfortable and the staff is always friendly and comedic. So don't be shy, go alone and start up a conversation with the staff or enjoy the eclectic experience with a group of friends!

This place is spectacular. I always tell all my friends to go here because it is not a crappy little tanning salon where they take your money and you get burned. It looks like a day spa inside, free body sprays on the beds, hair ties, awesome. I have a lifestyle package and can go every single day in level 1 and other days i can pay a reduced fee to use the higher beds. I have done this for a while and I have been able to maintain my tan for a long time for almost nothing compared to other salons. I've been to twin city tan where you pay like $8 to use their "high powered" bed and barely got tan (except my face felt like someone was pouring lava on it for some reason??) and those $8 a visit add up to a lot on my budget at the end of the month. But since I've been going here...I AM SO BROWN AND STILL HAVE COFFEE MONEY...YAY.
Pros: Everything
Cons: um... there are none?

I confess: I have never been to Soundbites on the weekend. I've heard too many stories about people getting rushed out, berated for bringing a newspaper or children, and having no time to enjoy their meal. I am here to tell you that it is a whole different place during the week. It is relatively quiet (except for graduation time when students bring their families). The staff are friendly and thoughtful. You can sit there for an hour with that second cup of coffee and no one cares. You can read the damn paper. I love Soundbites...during the week. The pancakes are stellar (I don't usually like pancakes), the stuffed french toast is decadent, the fruit bowl is beautiful and often has treats like papaya, and the benedicts are terrific. Beverages are DIY at the back, the staff will put it on your check. Soundbites closes at 3 so you can sneak in at 2:30pm and still grab a quick bite. My five stars is based on my experience during the week only.

O'Sullivan's is known around Boston for the best burgers. They are hand-made HUGE thick patties - not those frozen hockey pucks you get at most places. They are so thick that they'll tell you upfront that it takes 20 minutes to cook them! And, it is definitely worth the wait. Paired with their french fries - YUM! I've never actually been able to finish a whole burger - but it's not for lack of trying!

Yes there is a line. Yes Yasser is abrupt. And yes, you won't find too many better breakfast joints around. The omlettes are fluffy, filled with flavorful fresh ingredients and not sitting in a pool of butter/grease. The fruit plate is the best around - papaya and mango anyone? The pancakes are puffy, not dense rocks and served -go figure- hot! The menu is filled with plenty of selections that are both unusual and familiar, making it tough to make a choice. There is a nice use of spice here that is sorely lacking in a lot of breakfast places and the homefries... well you might call them crackfries. You WILL get a craving for them. Yes Yasser is caustic and abrasive, but at least he has a personality and is honest about who he is and his business. Let's face it folks... it's breakfast. Turn and burn. If you are looking for a leisurely time, go have brunch somewhere. Having been in the business for years, breakfast is expected to be quick and painless, which this is. It's a huge bonus that the food is so good. Sidenote: Do I want to go to a restaurant next door that offers the same menu? No. I support the guy that has the creativity to open and operate a business and build loyal clientelle. Copying a menu is not building a business, it is a sign of laziness and lack of originality. I know many people who would give their left arm to open a restaurant and cook food near and dear to their heart. I'll go to that guy.
Pros: Fantastic food
Cons: Parking
