I know some people really love this place, and I know it has a bunch of vegetarian and vegan options. Personally, I find it hard to find something on the menu here that I feel like eating. It's nothing that's wrong with the food, exactly, it's just not my style. Even the smoothies aren't flavors I'm into. I admit, I groan whenever someone suggests we go eat there. Maybe it's just my die-hard bland-palate-ed ways.

Blue Shirt's wraps are amazing. Packed with jasmine or poblano rice, and treats like goat cheese, curried chicken, fruit-mint chutney, grilled veggies, spiced tofu (not all in the same wrap!), these wraps are delicious, nutritious, and unique.
Blue Shirt also offers a wide variety of smoothies. Try the Hawaiian Song (mango, banana, pineapple, strawberry-guava juice, and sorbet) or the Peanut Butter Delight (peanut butter, bananas, yogurt, milk, chocolate sauce) or any of the many others. They also offer fresh-squeezed juices, a rarity among these parts. Mixing wheat grass, pineapple, apple and mint...or carrots, celery, cucumber, tomato and red pepper, they certainly delight the tastebuds. One bit of warning, however, they tend to shut down the juicer long before closing...this has left me dissappointed & craving many a night.
One other complaint is the demeanor of the cashiers. Somehow they seem to hire people who always seem slightly angry with you for making them do their job. Ordering is a very unpleasant experience--I have been to Blue Shirt many times and never been able to engage anyone is a friendly conversation.

great smoothies - I think I've tried every single one on the menu by now. I do have my favorites- if I'm in the mood for a dessert type smoothie - the peanut butter/chocloate is just to die for! I definitely visit Blue Shirt more during the summer months - and grab a smoothie and a salad with goat cheese for my dinner. Just a nice light bite when it's HOT outside. Good service - the prices seem to be getting higher each time I go... but I still love it. I've never really eaten at the restaurant - it's just too small and crowded - but great to-go.

The Blue Shirt Cafe serves both breakfast and lunch. I have only eaten their sandwhiches and they are pretty good. However, they are pricey, I feel like you're paying a bit for the hippy-trendiness. They also have a variety of smoothies/shakes available that they add "shots" of things like protein, calcium, or various vitamins.
The restaurant itself is really too small to try and eat inside. Even just waiting for your food to be prepared you are bounded to bump someone or get in the way. On a nice day there are tables around outside you can sit at or you can take your food home.

I confess, pretty much the only thing I order here is the Thai Seared Peanut Tofu wrap. It is that good. A friend also only orders the Thai Seared Peanut Tofu wrap. I have ordered other things here and they've been okay, but man, that Thai Seared Peanut Tofu wrap...! If you order to stay, you get tortilla chips, but if you order to go, no chips. I don't understand this but there you go. I've also had the breakfast here and it was okay, if greasy. But you can't go wrong with that Thai Seared Peanut Tofu wrap!

I only go here if I am walking by and am hungry for a bagel. I wouldn't go out of my way for the Blue Shirt Cafe.
