Magpie advertises themselves as having "Shiny Things for Your Nest", and they do. They market themselves primarily to the whole Indie Craft movement that is overtaking 20-something America. I'm not 20, but I actually am sucked in by the whole craft thing, myself. It's fun and individualistic and not Made in China. The store in Davis Square is very small, cute, and eclectic (albeit a little dishoveled). But, it's charming in a Morrissey retro 80's kind of way, and packed to the gills with things like soap dishes, glass pins, and cross-bone scarves, that somehow, can live together peacefully.
