Our sump pump gave out on a Saturday night and although we called a dozen companies of all sizes, many who said they gave 24/7 service, and left messages for the others; RotoRooter was the ONLY company to have someone answer the phone, which they did immediately, set the appointment, and sent me a detailed confirmation by email. The other companies never even called back today (it's 18 hours later) What kind of emergency/weekend service is that?\r \r So we were glad the Roto-Rooter plumber came out (Pat, I think), installed a new sump in the foot of water (the old one was 13 years old and had broken down before), and drilled a tiny hole in the PVC pipe per the installation instructions, which should have been done by whoever installed the old one or those who've serviced it but wasn't. We have a hydraulic backup pump to install but we appreciate that he told us he didn't have the right hookup equipment and experience (honesty) but tried to contact other RR guys who did. Polite, nice guy. \r \r The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is that we called on Sat at 11pm and while they said they could get someone here between 9-11 am, they pushed it back to 1-2 pm. The water was getting close to our furnace opening. But they were the ONLY company to respond, so I would use them for scheduled repairs and would definitely give them another shot at emergencies. more

The tech arrived within an hour of my call and had the problem sorted out in less than an hour. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He was very clean about his work and was also very careful with my belongings. He was very clear about the cost, available discounts, and guarantee before he started work so that there were no surprises. I thought that the $400 price was high for a single hour of work, but if it had taken half the day, it would have been cheap. These people are professional, and I recommend them highly... more

I required help today in my Bridgewater home, kitchen sink was backing up and creating a mess. I called Roto-Rooter and they dispatched a technician out to my home quickly as promised. The problem was the sewer line was loaded with grease and cut off discharge flow to the sewer.\r \r The technician arrived, acessed the situation and jumped right into action. The clean out as well as the sewer line had to be snaked out. The technician, Patrick Esposito was an outstanding representitive for Roto-Rooter Corporation, and preformed the proceedure professionally and explained the process as he worked. Patrick was one of the most courteous service professional I've encountered in my time. I just had a very big emergency here in Lawrenceville NJ my pipes were backed up and my basement was getting water from the pipe. I called Somerset NJ Rotor Rooter and they sent a man out within 2 hours. He came and explained everything so i could understand it. He fixed the problem and had me relieved. Service date11/27/2013 woke up in the morning to find my basement flooded . Called roto-rooters at somerset nj and they immediately sent a plumber. He arrived at the time scheduled explained in details what he was going to do and what the charge was. He found the problem and unclogged the pipe that caused my basement to flood. He made sure that was the only problem and the issue got resolved. It was my first time using this company and will definitely use them again if any issues arise. more

service date 10/16/13 Online scheduling was great, also called and their phone reps. were excellent. They let me know when they on the way, fully explained the issues I was facing, tested and tested to be sure problem was fixed, and cleaned up the area nicely. We had to call Roto-Rooter because we were having 2 very big problems with our upstairs bathroom. We had the same problem with our bathtub as we did our bathroom sink, where the hot water would not shut off. Technician Craig #41-0721, spent about 5 hours working on our bathroom. He thoroughly explained what the problem was and what he was going to do fix it. And also gave us a choice in options. Our house is extremely old and the plumbing is in terrible condition. Craig did a phenomenal job, we now have use of our bathroom and we fully intend on calling him back to fix our kitchen sink. Hats off to Craig and Roto-Rooter!! more

called for clog in sewage pipe problem, Tech Scott show up did the snake, he told me he cant snake it pass 90 ft. i was like ok whats that mean. he then told me i have a broken sewage pipe will need to dig up and do repair on it. estimate me $9500 for the new pipe or do the patch job for $6500. My wife and i wants a second opinion. called Gold Medal plumbing. all i can say is wow, these people were neat they explain things and best of all my sewage pipe was not broken it was just clogged. i was misdiagnose by rotor rooter.they charged me $650 for something they didnt fix. maybe not all rotor rooter tech are this way but i sure got a bad one . just try to rip me off or he had no idea what his talking about. rotor rooter will not get my business again. more

Our drain from our home to the sewer line was clogged and Patrick unclogged the line and ran a camera down so we could see everything was clear and the pipes were in good condition. Both our master bath sink and our kids' bathroom tub were clogged. Errol arrived within an hour of when I called. He was very nice and did a great job. Our house and pipes are very old so I think it was a tricky job, but he definitely knew what he was doing, and I would definitely recommend Roto-Rooter and Errol. I originally called another plumber, but he said because the pipes were so old, we would be better off calling Roto-Rooter, and we were! Errol also sold us some good drain-cleaner so we can avoid getting clogs again. One great thing about Roto-Rooter is the 6-month warranty, so if it gets clogged again in 6 months, he will come back and unclog it for free. I don't think other plumbers do that! more

Roto-Rooter Plumbers 4-30-12 5/2/2012

Before Sunday, we never had to worry about any pluming repairs. Then late Sunday evening, we discovered that our downstairs kitchen sink had bits of garbage in it. It was strange because that kitchen is never used. We then opened the faucet to clean it out and thats when we saw that the water was not going down the drain. It was time to call a plumber and fast! We decided to call the Roto-Rooter plumers of Somerset NJ . They quickly came to our rescue. Patrick fixed all my problems AND showed us step by step what he was doing and finding along the way. No more baby wipes down the toilet for us! Above all, the service we recieved was outstanding from the operater in the office, to Pat the plumber. more
