We have used SC Sports for all our baseball needs for years. Their prices are reasonable on all their baseball gear. They have batting cages available for hitting practice also....

Sporting goods and batting cages 8/21/2005

S and D Sportsworld is a small sporting goods shop. They carry a selection of equipment for most sports. They also offer printing services to outfit your team in uniforms. The indoor batting cages are what draw most people here. Your team can have batting practice all winter or when it is raining. They will schedule off hours for you to visit the cages, if that is what you need. Prices are competitive with other sporting goods retailers. more

Large Library, small town service 8/20/2005

The Smithfield Public Library has a huge selection of books and the ability to borrow books from other libraries in Johnston County. The librarians are friendly and helpful. The children's section of the library is fantastic. They offer weekly children's programs. The hours are varried, making the library accessable to just about everyone. I've yet to want a book that this library doesn't have or can't get. They also have a selection of DVD and VHS movies for rent very reasonably. more
