I study many times at this library. It is a very good library and it is always very quiet here so you can get a lot of studying done. Plus they have a good amount of books here to give you information or help you with your studies. Also I can use the computers anytime and internet is available on these computers too. A cool thing about this place is that they also have a video rental section that has good international movies to rent too.

I drive past this beautiful park almost every single day and I can tell you it is a beautiful place year round! Its a big park with a long walking/biking/blading trail. The park is adorned with lots of really odd and unique sculptures. My favorite is the one with all the different road signs pieced together. One part of the park also has a bunch of flagpoles and each flagpole holds a flag from different countries. Its a very well kept park, with lots of green grass and beautiful trees. It is a great place to take a liesure walk or come for a nice biking trail.

The Shred Shop is a great little store for all of your snowboarding and skiing needs. They have boards, skis, bindings, boots, and all the apparel that you could ever want. Even though it takes me a long time to get here, I always make the trip because I know I will find something cool at this store. I think the prices are a little higher than what you would pay at SportMart or something, but that's to be expected since this store is not a chain. I think the prices are definitely worth it though.

This is a great place to go for me because I love to swim and they have a nice pool here. They even have some slides, but I think those are more for little childrens. But the pool is nice and I like the other things they have here too like the fitness center and the track where I can run if I do not feel like going into the pool or during the winter when I can not use the pool. It is a good place if you live in skokie.

My son loves coming here. It is a typical old-school card shop, kind of cluttered, lighting isn't great, staffed by sports lovers who know a whole lot about the cards and why they're valuable. I was quite impressed with the staff and their knowledge about most of the cards in their collections available for purchase, and they will buy valuable cards, too.

This camp goes on a lot of field trips, plus they play games all day long and the kids have a blast using their energy. They played baseball, basketball, dodgeball, volleyball, football, swimming, and more. The teens who led the camps seemed well-supervised and really worked to keep the kids busy. However, this camp is not easy to swallow if you're there all summer. It's $150+ per kid, which really adds up over 10 weeks.

My daughter attended the day care center at the JCC as an infant and we were very happy with the quality of care we got. The staff is very experienced and friendly. They provide a safe and warm environment, child/teacher ratio is very low. The only disadvantage is that it is a little more expensive than comparable daycare centers. They are closed on all Jewish holidays though, that might be a problem for people with busy schedules.

This little cycle shop is tucked away on the edge of downtown Skokie. When I was looking desperately for a bike box so I could take my bike on a plane, they were the only ones who offered one for free.
It turns out that this place has been there for at least 20 years! And it's owned by pretty much the same folks who started it. The lock and other accessories I bought was a bit cheaper than I had seen it at other bike shops, and the person there (not Al, but I forget his name) was courteous and helpful. We talked bikes for a little bit, and I went on my merry way.
Go here. Patronize this business. More little bike shops are needed, and I believe this might be the only independent one in Skokie. They're great.
