I love food. And when I love a restaurant, that means something.
My favorite baba ghannouj (indescribably good) and tabouleh in the world (not overloaded with bulgur, lemony, tangy, flavorful, plenty of green, with delicious marinated tomato and onion bits).
Really good falafel sandwiches (the patties are crunchy, but not dry. moist and steaming and very tasty) with lots of tahini sauce. I now live in California, which is kinda hippie-falafel-land, but they got nothin on Pita in.
(insider tip: You can also ask for a little plate of complimentary(!) green olives, radish pickle, and seasoned raw onions when you pick up your food.)
Go here. Give em your business. And don't get fazed by the line out the door; they're quick enough and it's worth the wait.

This Thai restaurant is cozy, super-friendly and inviting. The food is extremly fresh, flavorful and delicious. I have never ordered anything there that I was not immediately in love with. It is Authentic, well-prepared, and CHEAP! The food is amazing and will have you coming back for more!

I love Outback Steakhouse. Yes, it is a chain. Yes, its menu is the same from state to state. What makes this place different from so many other is that sameness means quality and that you can find great food no matter where you are.
For my family, this restaurant located in suburban Skokie is our traditional Outback to go to. It can get insanely crowded. My tip? The bar area is first-come/first-serve. So, put your name in for a table and then hang out near the bar area. When someone leaves, jump into the booth, knocking over elderly women and small children if necessary, and get a seat. You'll probably get one there before your name is called from the list.
Recently Outback took off may favorite dish from their menu; the Outback Rack. However, they have a great pork chop that is almost as good and worth going back for. Their Bloomin' Onion is essentially nothing but bad for your heart and cholesterol, but if you are going to Outback to be weight conscious you are in the wrong place.
Service is always pleasant and the atmosphere is always laid-back. We get and give gift certificates to this place for holiday gifts and not one has ever not been used. Great place, great food, decent prices. It's a winner.

Poochie's Hot Dogs is where my husband would like to work after he retires. I said OK!, Well at least this would get us back home to Chicago where we belong!
So thank you Poochie's for having such wonderful Chicago hot dogs, and fries. No matter what else is going on in town when we come home to visit my husband makes us visit you.

This is one of the 24-hr Walgreens.
I generally get my prescriptions filled here. The service is fast and the prescription meds are usually well stocked.
The rest of the store is good or the types of things a pharmacy/general store has - band-aids and other non-prescription medical items, cosmetics, grocery items and the like.
I've been here many a time at early morning or late night hours when we needed something immediately.
This is a nice store and I can recommend it.

There were no hidden fees, and no extra upgrades needed to make the car better, unlike scammer auto repair shops. Pep boys even takes competitor coupons. Whats better than that? I've used 4 movers in the past 5 years, and Golan is BY FAR the best. They called before they came, arrived when they said they would, and were very polite and professional. Like most movers, they charge by the hour, but they are EXTREMELY FAST at loading up the moving truck. Before I could blink my eyes, half of my furniture was already loaded. They are very very fast. They are also extremely careful with my furniture, and this is the first time that nothing was broken. In the past, movers have broken things like a mirror or a chair, but Golan did not break a thing. They had to carry my heavy furniture up three flights of stairs, and they never complained once. I asked them if they wanted to stop the clock and take a break, but they said no. They are also very reasonably priced. They charge for 3 guys what other places charge for 2 guys. Overall, they were very professional, polite, and fast. They are the best movers I've ever had.
Pros: Reasonably priced, FAST, professional, polite, careful with furniture

Old Orchard is a nice place to people watch. Take your lunch in their food court and watch all the housewives with their newborns, old people out for a stroll, etc, etc. The only other mall of its kind is Oak brook shopping center, the open air design has a certain appeal, although it can be quite a hike from one end to the other. Prices seem to be higher than normal, but considering the area its located that seems expected.
