We just stopped by for their "Flights of Fancy" (?) Butterfly exhibit. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful and we got to see some beautiful and interesting butterfles up close. This nature center is always a nice place to visit with or without the kids.

This little building is a great way to get kids interested in the world beyond the tv, i.e. outside. They have all sorts of activities to do and even some real animals to watch. There is a weather center to help kids understand the clouds, a bird call sound board and lots of books and games. There are also turtle swimming around in the middle of the center, snakes, mice and even a shy owl that hangs around outside and can be seen every once and a while. Once the kids have exhausted the means of the center, take them out into the surrounding woods to see if they can find any of the things that they just learned about.
