For Christmas last year, my family and I all went for our usual Christmas shopping. And as I was leaving out of Wheaton Plaza in Montgomery County, I noticed that there was a sports aparrel store that I had never really paid attention to, but maybe passed by it and started talking a tour inside of it. The shock on my face was in an aww because I have NEVER seen so many jerseys or fitted hats in my life. It was as if I were a little kid in a clothing store. I was surprised that I have never went there before and all my friends talked about it. So after leaving, I bought a Sixers fitted and a smile on my face.

i loved this golf course!! this course is by far the nicest public course in montgomery county!! they have a really nice and tough layout with nicely designed holes. the par 4's and 5's are long but they have really open and fair fairways to hit into. the greens are very undulated with lots of tricky putts. this is a great golf course for a mid to low handicapper. they have a great driving range and a huge practice putting green. there are two courses, a 18 hole course that is long and hard and then a 9 hole course that they call the inside nine. the inside nine is much much easier and is perfect for high handicappers that want a shorter course. i really enjoyed golfing at northwest park and i highly recommend it.

One of the best stores in the DC area for tennis supplies. It is right off the red-line metro. They have an awesome selection of rackets, balls, shoes, etc... The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Feel free to walk in not knowing what kind of racket you want/need. They will help you find the perfect one.

sligo golf course is a nice short golf course. all the par 4's are under 300 yards except the 430 yard par 4 ninth hole. it is a par 34, and even though it is really short, it is really hard to break par. the fairways are not very open and almost immediately after the fairway there are trees with pine straw underneath. you have to hit the ball straight to play well at sligo creek. the golf course is a short distance away from holy cross hospital right near downtown silver spring. there is a large group of regulars there that play 3 times a week and are most are very nice. the greens fees are 18 dollars during summer weekends and the junior rate is 11 dollars but only during the week. the course is in great shape and i love playing at sligo.

Brookside Gardens is a wonderful morning trip with the kids.
Right near the main entrance is the children's fair garden. There are flowers, a little house, a bridge and more to look at. There is a list of things to find hiding among the flowers.
As you continue on, there is a gorgeous lake and an Asian inspired gazebo to explore. While resting there, we saw several families of turtles and some really big fish! We got some great photos!
They have another area with more cultivated flowers and a 'wedding gazebo' which was great to get a picture under.
They are well known for the butterfly garden, and they have guided presentations to teach you all you want to know.
They offer a variety of classes year round, from summer scientific camps to storytelling with a bonfire.
In the winter, they have a lighted winter garden (think Christmas lights) that you can walk through.
We love brookside gardens - it's a great morning out with the family.
