I've only been here once, based on the recommendation of a friend, but the level of service here is far superior to what you'd find at Ace Hardware and assorted other competitors. They really know what they were talking about when I was searching for nails and glue for a project i was working on.

Strosniders is very much like a traditional family hardware store. They have a good selection of things you would need for home improvement and also for those little jobs around the house. There have been times when I've needed duct tape, turpentine and keys made and this is really the only place I know where I could go and get each of these things done in one place. The prices are reasonable, comparable to the chain stores. This particular store is located conveniently in Downtown Silver Spring, right near all the new development.

If you can't get to Home Depot, Strosnider's is a good alternative. Although they have all the basics and the staff are very helpful, the prices are a bit higher than larger hardware stores. It's convenient and has easy parking - two bonuses when you're in a hurry!
