I was there for just the weekend and a localite recommended we dine there and indeed I was so pleased with the outstanding and promt service from our waiter and the manager (JD). The food was also great - not too heavy unlike many italian eats. Gotta try the Tiramisu - its one of a kind.

Very interesting experience overall. The only bad thing about the meal is the lady next to us and my dish was only good. Flat bread pizzas were excellent. The salads were also excellent. I got chicken parmasean, which was good. My fiancee tried the Chicken Canneloni, which was excellent. The atmosphere in the Olive Street Bistro is fantastic. It's exactly how you imagine a Bistro. Also, the service was very good and it is not too hard to pick up a reservation. The waiter was extremely helpful in leading us to the high points of the menu. He was also showed alot of enthusiasm and pride in the food he was serving.

This restaurant has been around for about 10 years and has wonderful, Italian fare. It is situated in an old Shreveport mansion, so you can eat lunch or supper at fireside. Great dining experience.
