This is a first rate diner as a diner should be. The menu is extensive and reasonable whatever your likes may be. The weekly breakfast menu is of particular interest if you are looking for a bargain, since their specials can't be topped by the large chains for quality and price. Needless to say you won't go away hungry, the servings are ample with maybe a little left over for another day especially the dinner offerings. Lastly, the staff is friendly and most helpful.

Having grown up in NY where diners are prevalent as pigeons, I adore diner food and the atmosphere that they have. There is always something going on to watch. This place, like most diners, has great breakfasts at reasonable prices, but the wait staff (servers) are horrific. They are slow, forgetful, and then rude when you request something that they had forgotten to bring over - even if you apologize for interrupting their conversations about their personal life that they are having with a coworker. It this was an isolated incident at this location, I would not care, but it happened repeatedly with me, my coworkers, and others when you sit and watch the other diners eating their meals. If the food wasn't at the great price they are, or didn't taste as good as it does, I would not recommend eating here - unless you don't care if you get what you order or mind waiting 30-40 minutes to receive your meal. Go up the street to Brueggers bagels - better food, fast service with a smile and you get what you order.
Pros: good food, good prices, easy to get too
Cons: poor service and innacuracy with orders, VERY slow

Have been going here for years. The staff is very nice and courteous. The food is of typical diner fare. I especially like the hot open turkey sandwiches! The desserts are also very good, with the variety changing daily. They dont rush you through a meal and, though there are always customers, there is never a wait.

The Plaza Diner Restaurant is never going to be your favorite eatery, but it is a dependable, reliably good restaurant which always has good food at good prices. Their menu has a decent selection, and some pretty nice specialty hamburgers, their "Green Goddess" dressing is always appreciated, and their wait-staff is attentive without being overbearing. Each corner has a television set tuned to sports or news, so there is something to look at even if you are dining alone (though if you are NOT dining along, you need to focus on them and not on the latest Yankee play).
Are you looking for a place with fine cuisine or a romantic atmosphere? Forget it. But if you are looking for a good place to get a burger, or bring the family for a dinner out, this is a great choice.
Pros: Good food, Dependable quality, Not crowded
Cons: Not exceptional, TVs often distracting
