I've been going to this bakery since they first opened and I have yet to be disappointed. They bake the yummiest desserts and I've had everything they make (practically) from canoli's to cakes (my favorite is the chocolate ganache)....a fantastic bakery that will not disappoint !! The staff is friendly and professional and the location is convenient.

The Plaza Diner Restaurant shouldn't really be considered a diner. They have great specials, and you will leave very full! I visit the Plaza Diner quite often for the lunch specials. They have awesome eggplant rolletini, and always have various wraps and salads as lunch specials as well. And their chicken souvlaki is the best around. You can also get gift certificates discounted at gift certificates.com for the plaza diner, this makes it a real bargain. They are usually packed on Thursday and Friday for lunch, so try to go either a little bit eraly or a little bit late to miss the crowd.

Il Palio Restaurant is the finest Italian dining experience you'll find in Shelton. A perfect date place. Very nice bar and wonderful food. Not cheap by any means, but totally worth every cent you'll spend. No disappointments here!

The Metro Grille & Bar Restaurant is a very nice restaurant. The bar is rather pretty big, and they serve excellent casual lunches and dinners. The Metro is conveniently located in Shelton next door to Stop & Shop. They have great burgers, salads and pasta dishes. This is a great place to go for a nice lunch with friends or a dinner date. And it is also a great place to hit for happy hour with some friends or coworkers. The bar gets pretty packed on a Thursday or Friday after work.

My wife and I eat at Wellington's regularly for special events - like birthdays, anniversaries - or bad days at work... It is a treat. The service is excellent, wine menu extensive, and everything we've ever ordered has been superb. Our favorite of all is the white russian ice cream crepe dessert. Truly to die for. You really can't go wrong at Wellington's - so do yourself a favor and make reservations soon!

I have eaten many times at the woodside deli and have to say that they have quite a large variety of their "specialty sandwiches". The davinci is one of my favorites. Service is fast, friendly and served with a smile. You can also buy cold cuts while you are there and they did have a nice selection. It is also in a very convenient location but parking could be tough to find during lunch time. A little pricey but worth it in my opinion. Closed on Sunday

We've gone to Porto Bello for a few years now and they seemed to have changed chefs because the food was great and is now fair/good. The prices are competitive..not expensive, but not cheap either. The atmosphere is ok..don't plan on having a quiet night with conversation here..the acoutics make this restaurant one of the more difficult ones to have a quiet conversation in. I recommend sitting outside on a nice summer day...view is of a parking lot, but at least you can have an actual conversation.
