Bridges Barbecue Lodge Inc is the best BBQ place in town. In fact, people from from other states to this restaurant. We love going there because we know not only will we like the restaurant and everything about it, that we will be back again and again and again. The food is great, and the servers are good. They have recently raised their prices, which wasn't so good. But, we'll still go there. Recommended this restaurant at five stars.

Bridges BBQ Lodge is the best. It is outstanding. The taste is wonderful. This is my favorite BBQ restaurant. We love going there because we know our food will be the best it can be. We rarely have a problem, but when we do, it is rectified quickly. Servers are nice as well. We like going there anytime because the food is the same...always fixed to order, never premade. The most popular dish is the BBQ plate, but we like their sandwiches. Price has gone up a lot, though, in the last few years.

Bridges BBQ Lodge is the best BBQ restaurant in this area. They are very popular with celebrities who visit in this area. Located on Highway 74 in Shelby, North Carolina, the parking is ok and the hours are not so good. They close everyday at 8, but many times it is much earlier because they run out of BBQ. They say they close everyday at 8 or until they run out of BBQ. Many times it is at 7 or earlier. If it's 630 or later and I want to go, I always call to make sure they have enough BBQ and won't close before I get there. The restaurant is small, but it is almost always extremely busy. I gave it 5 stars because of the taste of the food. Their hush puppies are to die for.

This restaurant specializes in BBQ, and there is no other BBQ restaurant in town that even comes close to meeting the standards set forth by this restaurant. The sandwiches are served in foil wrappers, but they are NOT premade. They are made to order. You can ask for a paper plate if you wish, but most people use the foil as their plate. Most orders are for the BBQ plates, and not the sandwiches. Service is usually good. Most people in this area consider this the best of the best. Many celebrities have eaten here as well.

My visit to Bridges was not the occasion I had hoped for. My husband being a BBQ addict and since we had recently moved to the area we wanted to try this place out. We ordered a bbq sandwich with fried and iced tea to drink. We were shocked when our sandwich was served to us wrapped in foil with no plate. the fries were served in a paper bowl. The sandwich was marginal in flavor and we were both very disappointed. I would not go here again although I think if they knew how low it makes a person feel to have their food served wrapped in foil knowing it was probably sitting on the warm grill all day getting hard it might be different. A paper plate would have helped tremendously.
