I like going to Shelby Cafe. They serve great breakfast. Even if the power goes out, this restaurant stays open. They are nice and kind, and you usually don't have to wait that long on your meal. They have specials as well. Half of Shelby goes there. They have been in business since "coon's ages." They are very good. I love restaurants that are home-owned as well. This one is.

Shelby Cafe is awesome. I go there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They are really nice and kind there. I have had more excellent experiences than bad experiences, but since people like to hear about the negative, I'll tell you a few. Once I my server was deaf. No, she wasn't legally deaf, she just wasn't listening to what I was saying. SHe kept interrupting me fifty times before I could even say a sentence. Another time my biscuits were cold and I sent them back. I waited at least 30 minutes to get heated biscuits. The server kept forgetting abiout them, promising, etc. But other than those 2 times, everything has been excellent.

I love going to Shelby Cafe for breakfast. They serve meals all day long, and have specials as well. But I like their breakfast! Their breakfast is great. On the weekends, it's very crowded. It's very difficult to find a place to sit (they help! LOL). The servers are mostly nice. I am giving Shelby Cafe, an icon for Shelby, three stars. It's a "good" rating. If you have never gone, try Shelby Cafe today. You won't be sorry!

Shelby Cafe is an icon for Shelbians. It has been around since "coon's ages," they say here in Shelby. In a nutshell, it's good sometimes, and bad sometimes. The last time I went, the restaurant was very busy. They were lined out the door. But the went fast, and I was semi-pleased with the meal. The service was ok, and the atmosphere was ok. I went during breakfast on the weekend, which is one of the restaurant's busiest times. I recommend this cafe because like I said it's 50-50, but in a cafe-type atmosphere, that's good. They always work with you if something is wrong, so it's not like you're "out" anything. Recommended at 4 stars mainly because of it's "iconess."

This is a great place to take the family for great southern home cooking. There is a great selection of food. The service is personable and prompt. We always order breakfast when we visit here. It is located in downtown Shelby where parking is plentiful sometimes right at the front door. Everyone speaks to one another and the food is great.
