Moved here in January 2007 and the first place we ate at was Ichabod's. They have a WONDERFUL selection of different types of foods, main dishes, appetizers and sandwiches. Everything we've tried was very good. It's just too bad they couldn't have put the place on Moss Lake with a water view. Still in all, it's a great place to eat!

Ham's Restaurant is a place I like to go on Saturday nights. They have fantastic bar and fantastic entertainment. They even check ID at the door because there apparently are too many people for the barkeep to check ID all the time. I love the food, too. They have wonderful food, even on Sat. nights. I love the chicken cordon bleu sandwich or the cheesy chicken sandwich. They are so delightful and delicious. They also have great appetizers as well.

I got to Substation II because of its subs and wraps. Their menu is similar to Subways menu. The food is good at Substation II, and the employees are wonderful. I order the wraps here, and I enjoy them very much. They are inexpensive, a bit cheaper than Subway. This store is a new location, but not a new store. It's bigger and better, and I love it. They keep it clean, and I like that about them! I recommend Substation II at three stars.

5 East Restaurant is located at 5 East Marion Street, just down from the Winter House. They were recently voted by the Shelby Star readers as Best Place To Take a Date and some other honors, of which it slips my mind. They are great. The price for Shelby is expensive, but there are a lot of people who go there on a regular basis including me. I love going here because I like the wine selection. They have a fabulous selection of alcohol. Recommended highly!

I try and frequent Willis Sandwich Shop when I can. I love their cheeseburgers. I learned of them at the County Fair and every year I look for them. I know I will be getting a great sandwich at a super price. I always get a cheeseburger and fries, though. The employees are nice and kind, and I like the feeling I get from going there. I feel as if I wanted a customer. I feel really great, and that feeling goes with me the rest of the day. They do have a catering business that I am not familiar with. You may call and ask them about it if you are interested.

Kentucky Fried Chicken is located adjacent to Hardee's on Grover Street on the opposite side of the hospital. They are great. I love Kentucky Fried Chicken. They have some of the best potato wedges I have ever eaten. I also like the chicken, of course. They have great slaw, corn, baked beans, and rice. I love their combos, as it does save money. Parking here is good. I have always been able to locate a close parking space even during rush periods.

Ni Fen Bistro was a great place to eat. UInfortunately, it did go out of business. I know it won't be coming back, but I am unwilling to give up that hope. My favorite time to go was on Sundays when they had a Sunday brunch. I loved going there for Sunday Brunch, and I would usually get one of my friends to go with me. I simply miss Ni Fen Bistro. It was one of the few places to go out for a nice meal at a nice restaurant. Cost was somewhat pricey, but then you would expect that at such a nice place as this place. Come back, Ni Fen!
