Village Pantry is an ok place to go if you need gas in your car or maybe need a snack or maybe some milk. However, I do not like going here because the bathrooms are not usually clean, and their are so many college students stopping in here that sometimes I get nervous in the parking lot with their not watching carefully. The gas prices are in line with others in the area. The station is convenient if you frequently go on college road. The prices inside are what you would expect of convenience store prices, except for some hba and soda items. Those items are way too high. But I don't mind stopping here if I really need something and don't want to go anywhere else.

I used Shelby Transmission Specialists when I was referred to them by a local mechanic. It seemed I needed some transmission work done, so I took my car to them. They were nice and quickly diagnosed my problem. I had both my cars done because they needed work. They fixed them with ease, and they were done when they said they would be done. I have not had ny problems since then. Besides fixing transmissions, they also do other odds and ends repairs to cars. I didn't know this until recently. The price I paid for both cars was reasonable, so I am sure other car work would be as well. Four-star recommended.

Shelby Battery and Auto Service is located beside Mr Hero and Patelli's Pizza on Layfayette Street. Their location is in a very convenient place in town. It's usually convenient for most residents in town and especially convenient for me. I like the fact they are a home-town, locally owne and operated business. They sell batteries for your vehicle as well as your car. They also do car repair. I have used them for a long time, and I have never had a problem. They always have my car ready when promised. I feel confident in leaving my car here. They seem to know what they are doing more than a lot of repair places. LOL

Shelby Auto Parts is located on Lafayette Street just beside the Shelby Shopper office and Harmony Bodyworks. They are "the" place to go for auto parts. I like the fact they are a home-towned business. I like to shop those more than I do nationally or regionally owned. They are nice and willing to help. I especially like the fact if you don't know exactly what you part you need they will help you. They also will test your battery on your car. I like going here because I know I won't come back with the wrong part. The price is ok.

Sears in Shelby has a little bit of everything. No matter what you are looking for Sears is a good place to look. They have clothes, electronics, appliances, tools, etc. They usually have great prices and their sales staff is generally very knowledgable and friendly.

Rogers Honda, located at 1859 East Dixon Blvd, in Shelby, North Carolina, is a great place to buy a car. Why didn't I give it 5 stars then? Well, the first time I went the salesman was very pushy. He didn't know the answers to half my questions, either. I was very displeased at that experience. He also called me on the phone, which is something I expressly told him not to do. I didn't buy anything then. A year later I went back and got a different salesman. He was really different from the other salesman. I ended up buying a car from them. They will help you with financing if need be. This car lot recommended. You never know when you will find the best deal here.
