the instructors make a priority to know you by name, not because they should, but because they know that knowing who you are and what you need to work on makes the practice better for everyone. I've been to a few instructors and each one does something a bit different, but i always feel good when I leave--breathing a bit deeper. Even if its quite a workout, I leave feeling calm. I think Cicely is my favorite, but they are all soooo goood!
Pros: amazing instructors lead to an amazing practice
Cons: cant think of one

I have been a dedicated yoga practitioner for the past four years, and The Yoga Tree in Fremont ranks high on my list of favorite studios. The instructors are all very skilled and personable--there is no attitude at this studio and the regulars are friendly. If you're new to yoga, try one of The Yoga Tree's Intro Series classes or a Level One class. If you're more experienced, there are a variety of ongoing classes along with specialty workshops that will leave you feeling centered, grounded, and still physically challenged.
Besides great instruction, The Yoga Tree offers an excellent 200-hour Teacher Training program in conjunction with YogaWorks that I can't recommend highly enough. The teacher training is offered in two formats--a six-month intensive that meets once a month over four-day weekends and an one-month super-intensive program. I completed the six-month intensive teacher training this year and had an amazing experience. The program left me feeling that I can safely instruct a yoga class, but more important for me was growing my personal practice, which has deepened significantly.
Whether you're looking to get into yoga for the first time or want to take the plunge into becoming a teacher or a stronger practitioner, I highly recommend The Yoga Tree in Fremont.
Pros: Excellent Teacher Training Program, Experienced Instructors, Workshops
Cons: Parking can be difficult

The instructors at Yoga Tree are very well trained and are dedicated to their practice. They are friendly and helpful and welcome to working with people at all levels. I've always felt safe and included in all of the classes I've been to at Yoga Tree. They have classes for various levels including lots of speciality workshops sprinkled through out the year. It's a good idea to check out their website often to see what's happening. The only downside is that some people may consider it a bit expensive at around $12 or so a class, but you certainly get what you pay for.

I have been going here for about 5 years. The teachers are GREAT! I have tried other studios but none of them can compare. They also offer lots of classes, which is nice when you are trying to fit yoga into your schedule. The only complaint I have is that parking can be a little scary in Fremont.
Pros: Great teachers, good class schedule, great studio space
Cons: parking in Fremont

The Yoga Tree is conveniently located, has a very nice studio, and offers a wide array of yoga classes and special series. I had taken yoga for about a year at a local gym when I switched to Yoga Tree to focus more seriously on yoga. I took a beginner’s series and was relieved that I actually got a lot out of it. The teachers were genuine and very talented. Since then, I’ve taken several of the Level 1 and General level classes and have enjoyed them all. Each teacher offers their own special style and techniques and they provide a lot of advice for pursuing the study on your own. The only downside of the Yoga Tree is that it is rather expensive compared to taking yoga at a gym with less dedicated or educated teachers. I believe that the fees are on par with other dedicated yoga studios.

I've been going to the Yoga tree exclusively for the past 2 years because it's one of the best studios in Seattle. They teach yoga exclusively and the teachers there are very experienced and teach many different kinds of yoga so you can pick and choose what best suits you and your needs. I really enjoy the classes and the environment they create at the studio, you really feel like you're entering a sacred space, not a "studio." The Saturday morning community class gets crowded, but it's always a fun class and a great place to start as it's pretty cheap, like 8 bucks or something.
Pros: Great atmosphere, Yoga only, Great teatchers
Cons: Sometimes crowded
