Seattle may be more advanced with technology and lattes, but the city seems to be at the end of the chain when it comes to fashion. Everytime I go into a boutique I can expect to see the same styles as what New York boutiques carried last year. However, I recently discovered a little boutique that proved me wrong.
Stepping into Ericce for the first time brought back feelings of the "oohs and ahhhs" of being a little kid in The Sweet Factory (though let's admit some of us are still kids at heart when it involves sweets). They carry several of the hottest designer fashions as seen on the streets of New York and the hottest clubs in LA such as William Rast (Justin Timberlake's brand--very hot!), True Religion, Baily 44 (a new favorite of mine), Ella Moss, and many more. On top of the fact they are obviously doing their fashion research, they have amazing sales! I bought a pair of Union Jeans (a marriage of comfort and style!) for $75 that are still selling for $195 at other stores. Lastly, they go above an beyond expectations when it comes to customer service. They call you before sales, if they don't have your size they will special order it, and when you're there you don't feel obligated to buy something. If you're looking to replace that standard pair of Sevens you've worn out, buy them at Nordstrom. If you're looking for the newest and hottest styles of jeans, Ericce is the "sweet" spot!
Pros: Current Designers and Styles, Great Sales, Priceless Service
Cons: Parking, limited sizes

If babies or tots were only old enough to shop for themselves.... they would be in heaven here!
I highly recommend this boutique to anyone who is looking to purchase a gift. It will be easy! For others I'd recommend this boutique to you if you feel in the mood to treat your own child/children.
Twig makes BOTH boys and girls look their best. And...if you're like me you'll walk around admiring the store just as much as the clothes!
When I think of Twig these are words that come to mind: organic, simple, classy, unique--they even carry vintage jems.

It does not matter is you are just window shopping or outfitting an entire wardrobe, they treat you like a million bucks. I bought a tie and got a hand written thank-you letter in the mail from the sales women. A page-long letter for a tie! I will never shop anywhere else. They are the best.
Pros: Friendly, Personal, Great sales
Cons: Too Formal, No parking

If I could afford to I would buy ALL my clothes from Sweetie. I adore this shop in West Seattle. The sales people love fashion and know their merchandise. This makes them good at helping you to find what you're looking for. I went looking for a dress for my reunion this summer and had more choices in my size and style than I had at Nordstrom! They've got good, solid designers and a nice selection from them all. They've got everything from suits to jeans and it's all beautiful, quality and varied.
Pros: Quality, Service, Styles
Cons: Parking if you don't know where to look

Nobody else in Seattle gets it like Tulip. They have the best mix of designers by far of any store in town-- Great small designers like Mayle, Annelore, Nicholas K, Mint, Sarah Berman, Rozae Nichols, and a constantly evolving collection of the best denim. If it is up and coming and it is gooood, you know it will be at Tulip.
Sure, like the onther review said, it is not cheap. I'd say prices range from around $30-50 for a tshirt to $125-200 for jeans to $100-300 for a dress. But these are well-made, beautifully designed pieces in fine quality fabrics. If you want cheap, shut up, go to Old Navy, and look just like every one else.
I have found the service to be kind and knowledgeable. They can get a bit overwhelmed on busy tourist days in the summer, as the staff is small, but I've found the help is worth the wait with good suggestions and honest feedback. They seem to know the fit and shapes of things well and can suggest what might look good on you. Great!

This place is such a find not only to sell your clothes but to find great vintage articles and trendy wear. The owner is delightful and remembers your name. You can find Prada, Chanel, J Crew, Anthropologie to name just a few. The clothes are clean and the store is upbeat and easy to shop in. The owner even gives you quarters for the meter if you need to shop. Deals go fast, this place is a must on everyone's list. And the prices, a steal for what you get.

This is always our first stop for costume parties or vintage clothes. The selection is fun and the staff and fine with letting us browse and play as long as we do not get in the way of other customers. If you like to browse this type of store I definitely recommend Funky Jane's.
