I love shopping at Old Navy! The bargains are always awesome, and even the every day prices are pretty fair. I don't go there for the service or the quick lines, but when saving this much it's worth it! Get there early in the morning to avoid parking issues.

i finally got a chance to poke my head into the last white elephant and it's a good find.
it's small and pretty jam packed, but they have good stuff and holy moly is it cheap. unless otherwise noted sweaters are $3.50, shirts are $3. i got 2 shirts and a sweater and my total came to...$8.70 with tax. the only shirt i saw for more than $3 was a burbury (sp?) blouse for $5.
and this business, like many thrift shops, is in it for the greater good - their profits go to help animals. i could do without all the preachy vegan and 'animals are human' sorts of signs but i'd still be happy to support this business any day.

...just so I can shop here. Not really! But it is always a wonderful experience. I've learned that you get what you pay for, and this is especially true at Village Maternity. Their items might be a little pricier, but they are also more fashion forward, and of higher quality. The sales staff is always incredibly helpful and I was able to find a majority of things that I could continue to wear after my pregnancy. Favorite picks: jeans by Paige & Habitual, Michael Stars tanks & really special pieces by Australian line "Ripe."
And don't even get me started on their kids selection. It's hard to get out of their without at least one little treat....

Super Cute. It's definitely priced a little higher than a lot of boutiques, but it's worth it. Some of the best clothes and accessories in Seattle. They rotate the inventory often, so rarely will you end up seeing someone wearing the same item.

Northgate mall is pretty good. I think you can find better values here than some of the other bigger malls. I can't say that I went to this mall a lot. It is close enough U and when I didnt feel like battling the crowds downtown, it was an excellent mall to go to. They also have pretty good specialty and department stores.
Pros: Good mall, good shopping, not too crowded

These guys were pretty good, near the top of the pack in the list of salons I visited. The store is laid out nicely, with double racks of dresses in a big circle around a "runway" staging area. They had a good range of prices, from a few hundred up to a few thousand; most of what I liked turned out to be in the $1400 range.
While friendly, the two saleswomen I worked with seemed to only partly know the stock and stumbled a bit when asked to bring a few more dresses that matched my request. I visited once and wrote down a style number, and when I came back with my mom a week later and asked to show her the gown, they acted somewhat put out. The original salesperson wasn't there, you see, and they'd have to go find the dress by hand, by looking at all of the labels.
My small complaints aside, La Belle Elaine's is well worth a visit. They carry a big selection of gowns. Their prices are fair. Their dressing rooms are large, well-lit and laid out like small lounges. They have a very good accessories selection. I would definitely add them to your list of stores to visit.

I'm never really one to leave comments like this on City Search but I when I feel strongly about something I have to say something. I travel to New York and L.A. a lot for business and so I love to discover new boutiques while I'm outside of Seattle. I have to say that without exception Rue really embodies a great mix of the New York forward thinking fashion with L.A.'s fun and colorful vibe. When I met the owner she was super sweet and helpful. I never once felt pressured to buy anything. I ended up buying a dress designed by "Yana K" and some fun accessories. I have gotten SO many compliments on my purchases and can't wait to go back to buy more stuff! I have referred a lot of my girlfriends to the boutique and they all LOVE the place. I'm so happy that I have FINALLY found a place in Seattle where they have cute, trendy, fun clothes.
Pros: Ecclectic mix of formal wear to casual pieces, parking, nice staff
Cons: None

Ian's is a great place for edgy women's clothing. I've worked with one of the staff there, Joshua, twice, and even tho during the sales I've gotten none of the crap you get sometimes from taking advantage of sales. They carry Vivenne Westwood Anglomania, Margiela, Clue, G Star and more so a good range of medium to high end. You wont' see your twin on the street when you buy here and the sales are fabulous. The women's clothes are on the 2nd floor, men's on first floor--divide and conquer.
