Paula, owner of Dumb Clothing, had a small shop on Capitol Hill when the lure of travel called her away. So...the only way to get her great skirts (I sell a few everytime I wear one out) is to register on her site: www.dumbclothing.com and receive an alert when she is in town. Otherwise...you will have to find a way to New York in the Springtime to get the real thing. Paula makes great fun girl skirts...in New York you can actually design it with her in her own shop. The second best part...cost is between $40-$50 per skirt...but you look like you went to Tulip or Barney's in Seattle. My fashion secret is now out.

Mona Lisa's Boutique offers everything a woman is looking for when shopping for cute clothes, accessories, and even for the home. Not only is there a well stocked and regularly rotating selection of clothing, jewelry, handbags, and shoes, the store also offers an interesting array of furniture, dishes, picture frames and other beautiful vintage wares. I have yet to visit the store without finding something I liked and always have fun looking around. The vintage clothing is very unique and the current styles often include those boutique brands that break the bank when new. This is the best place to get those designer jeans you have been lusting after but just can't quite pull off because the hit to the wallet is too much. The prices here are reasonable on every item. There is even a sale rack for those hunting for even more of a bargain. The atmosphere is welcoming and intimate, with the owners being very friendly and accessible. Expect to be accompanied at some point by a sweet cat who complements the environment perfectly. The topper is you can also consign your clothes and accessories there. What better way to be "out with the old and in with the new"----to you.

Who doesn't? Well, most men, I assume. :)
But Seattle women are lucky to have a terrific resource in its back yard.
Decent Exposures is a bra company (they also make a few other items like swimsuits and skirts) that gives excellent fitting service. Since they're here in Seattle, we get a considerable advantage over those poor women who must order over the internet: we can actually go to their shop for a personal fitting with the owner!
I had no idea how customizable a bra can be! More elastic here, less fabric there.... Organic. Latex-free. Nursing. Sports.
And, once you receive your bra (since they're handmade to order, allow ~2 weeks), you have 60 days to have it further adusted, for free!
The prices are in line with average bras, about $35. But with such personal service, it's a bargain.

Nubia's collections are as high fasion as you can get. I was impressed with a unique look that is hard to find these days. Exotic clothing is the specialty and Nubia the owner is very flexable with custom fits for the customers. This is a place where if you want to take back everybody at the party and wear the essence of hip elegance you would by your dress here.

I just love the clothes and the shoes. And just look at the jewelry. The environment is really nice too. I love that there is a bathroom to use. How often are you in the changing room trying on clothes and need to use the restroom and can't find one downtown?!
The staff is really helpful. I was there trying on clothes and the 2 girls were picking out things that really suit me and bringing me more to try on. I didn't feel like I had to take a number like at some department stores I have gone to. I felt really special.
I am really glad the finerie opened and can't wait to get the boots that tie up the back.
Pros: Nice atmoshpere, helpful staff, great selection, good quality, original, bathroom to use, big dressing rooms
Cons: parking, little spendy(but good quality)

What a great surprise to come across a wonderful place to shop. Its located on a really cute street up on Queen Anne. Pink Ginger is like being in a candy store, pink striped walls and a whole assortment of sizes. The owner Tina carries sizes S-24. She wants anyone to be able to come in and be able to find something. I found local artist jewelry and purses, candles , a little bit of everything. I love that she carries a great selection of jeans, tops, dresses, plus she is just nice to deal with. Tina tells it like it is when trying on clothes. I would suggest for everyone to come and look at the store.

I have followed this FABULOUS little boutique over the past year and a half from Hood River, OR up to Seattle (Yay!). The store is perfect for shopping, with bright colored items, pink walls, and fitting art.work. The owner and employee are always helpful and honest, and it definitely doesn't hurt that they are both cute as can be! The location in the Wallingford Center allows for easy parking, which is a rarity in Seattle.
The clothing lines offer well-designed women's athleticware and fun, comfortable clothes that can easily be worn out on the town. My personal favorite is Tonic; a brand that provides pants that actually fit me and durable materials that hold up shockingly well. I highly recommend stopping by this store anytime you are in need of some new motivation at the gym or looking for something comfortable to spice up your wardrobe!
Pros: Great Clothes, Fun space, Cute girls, Long Hours
Cons: Next to Trophy Cupcake (It's hard on the waistline!)
