This place has 3 levels of amazing things! Their top level is souly dedicated to Tripple X art. When i say art i actually mean art! They have sculptures to paintings to even pottery and tea kettles. Not to mention their clothing section and movies! They also have small tiny gifts that range from huge members to little ones that fit on key chains. Fun place hard to find...

Big Fish Games is a family-friendly website with tons of games. They have all the addictive casual games like Jewel Quest and Solitaire, and some of their own unique creations like Mahjongg Towers Eternity and MCF Huntsville. You can play free demos of the really cool downloadable games (without giving up your credit card number!), and there are a bunch of free online games too.
My family loves to play together on the downloadable games. They're easy enough to figure out that even my grandmother gets into them and really enjoys playing. The online gaming community is where you can chat with friends while you play online games. You can also trade your tokens from playing online for chances to win free games.

I've never been a big fan of the behemoth chain that is Blockbuster video, but when they recently changed their late fee policy, I swore off them forever. First of all, Blockbuster rentals were always too expensive for their own good. It's bad enough that the good movies are always taken, but when I'd have to settle for my third or fourth rental choice and then have to shell out about $4 for the privelege of renting Caddyshack 2, I couldn't help but curse the fat cats at Blockbuster corporate. But when they changed over to the super-confusing and contradictory "no late fee" policy and raised their prices even more, I promised my inner movie lover I'd never deal with Blockbuster again. I've never had a problem returning videos on time-- why should I have to pay more for a rental just because a few people can't get it together and return their rentals in a timely fashion?
My new love is Hollywood video, as they've custom-made a rental structure for those of us who have never worried about late fees. You choose how long you want their videos and pay accordingly. This way, I can rent a just-released film for just $1.99 and have 2 days to watch it. At Blockbuster, a new film rental will cost you almost as much as two admission tickets at the Crest (and does not come with the big-screen theater experience OR the sweet smell of popcorn).

I am a reformed girl-- I have seen the light that is smaller, independent video rental stores. The best in my opinion is Scarecrow Video. Now, I admit, Blockbuster video has been a long-standing family practice. But now that my movie tastes have grown I have to look elsewhere for movies. The Blockbuster selection is shameful! The "New Release" wall is littered with releases that date back more than a year! Want an older movie on DVD? I doubt they have updated their stock to include that. And the foreign film selection? RETARDED. I tried to get a copy of La Dolce Vita and was told it was lost by a customer and when inquiring as to when the next one would be ordered for the store I was given a "I doubt we will at all". Umm... thanks, but no thanks. I'm tired of this chainstore and am now given wholly to Scarecrow.

This book store is ok. It's not all that well organized and I always forget that a lot of the fiction is actually upstairs. The children's section is right in the middle of the store, rather than off by itself somewhere. (I actually prefer when stores put it somewhere at the end of a store - makes more sense to me.) They do have a nice selection of postcards and knick knack type stuff here.

You feel good as soon as you walk into Broadway video. It’s packed with movies that don’t star Katie Holmes and Mandy Moore. It’s filled with the usual Capitol Hill crowd, but it’s somehow less intimidating. I was certainly impressed by the knowledge of the staff, who were able to answer any and all questions I had.

We always go to the location in Madison park. The parking is bad, but the selection is better than Blockbuster and the store is more fun as well. The clerks know their stuff, although it sometimes seems like you’re bothering them if you ask them a question. Regardless, they have more movies than other stores in the area and their prices are about the same.

More
Island Video has a good selection of low and medium budget films as well as the mainstream Hollywood releases. Independent video stores often highlight groups of films in interesting displays to introduce viewers to a wider variety of selections. Television series are also on-hand to rent, although some of the older series are only available on VHS. Return rental times are reasonable. Parking is a bit dicey, but a handy drive-by drop slot is located on the south side of the building.

I love TV on DVD, loads of shows together and no ads. Unlike other video stores that charge four bucks (or so) per disc, with older shows, On 15th charge 4 bucks (or so) for a _season_ What a bargain.
Oh, and you can rent everything for a week.
And the staff are nice too.
