Seconding the first reviewer's roundly positive sentiments. These guys know what they're doing, and since they have a great following and aren't lacking for work they're just as tickled as you are when they find a less expensive fix for a problem (for example, my '93 900S convertible top had stopped working, they quickly diagnosed and corrected a simple problem with some spuzz in the switch that prevents operation when the handbrake is not engaged).
If you love your Saab, take it to Scanwest!

needed a used car and looked around and no dealers had very much inventory. I found a car that I liked at Millennium Ford and the prople were very nice from start to finish. during the road test they made sure I understood the car. The price was fair and the paperwork went well. Will definately use them again and reccommend them to my friends
Pros: good attitude and explainations, knew what I was getting
Cons: not alot of inventory (like all dealers due to clunkers)

I recently was in the market for a used Honda and checked one out at Shoreline Family Auto Sales. It was a very good experience. Friendly, easy to work with people. When the looking got serious they offered to put the vehicle up on a lift and let me take all the time I wanted. There was no glossing over the vehicle's (few) negative points. To the contrary, they were pointed out. The price was fair and there was no high pressure salesmanship. They give the impression of people that actually care, which is not so common any more. 5 stars to Shoreline Family Auto for great service (even after the sale).

That is what my truck said after being here. She was very pleased to be serviced here. She was clean and felt new to me after she returned from this place. It was a nice to a change of oil from someone different. They do a awesome job when you need a little tune-up for your favorite car.
PROS: My car was happy
CONS: It was sorta smelly

More
I purchased my Rx-8 from Doug's Mazda and the entire experience was top-notch. I got the best price (in fact, I still haven't seen one sold for what I got mine for - and I read all the online boards for Rx-8 owners!). The dealership manager is a smart, competent, and sincere person. I always get the sense that I will be taken care of here. He takes the time to chat with me whenever I stop by, and I have come to know him a personal friend. (Now how many car dealership people can you say *that* about?) :-)
Post-sale service has been outstanding. Quick, free loaner car, and every technician I've seen has taken what seems like a "personal interest" in my vehicle. Now that's impressive.
I haven't bought a Hyundai or Hummer from them - but I would guess you can expect the same level of service and professionalism. Happy car buying!

Mixed review here. Good work, very good price, personable worker. Unfortunately, the installer called to reschedule not once, but twice and it was clear from conversation that he was perpetually overcommitted. To his credit, he was certainly apologetic, and gave us a free upgrade on our windshield (tinting), but you'll have to decide what it's worth to you. This is a mobile service (they come to you), and it was cheaper than the store-front businesses we called!

While in the market for a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid I requested several quotes on-line from all of the various Seattle area Honda dealers. Some refused to quote me a price by e-mail while others pressured me with repeated phone calls in an attempt to earn my business. Because my job and business travels keeps me quite busy, a competitive quote via e-mail with a prompt and courteous response was key without numerous call hassling me to come into the dealership.
I was fortunate to have James Bennett of Honda of Seattle respond to my initial e-mail. He was courteous, professional and above all, patient. I stopped in for numerous times to test drive and look at the car as I debated which color I wanted. Over the course of 3 months, James never pressured me to buy. He made me a fair offer which he stood by until I was ready to buy. When that day came, I showed him a quote from another dealer that was $200 less. While I did not expect him to beat it but was hoping he would match it. He said he would beat it by another $100. Because I knew both MSRP and invoice an was paying just a few hundred dollars over invoice I knew I was getting a great deal.
The process went very smoothly and there was never a pressured sell for unnecessary add ons, warranties, etc.
I highly recommend Honda of Seattle!

I stopped in to Acura of Seattle last week as I was out shopping for a RELIABLE Japanese economy car to replace my high maintenance BMW. I was planning to get a Honda Civic Si, but all of the local dealers in Seattle were out of stock and not willing to budge an inch on the $25,999.00 price tag. Ouch. Quite a bit for a Honda. ...so I checked Honda's luxury line, Acura.
I spotted a few Acura RSX's left on the lot. Turns out Acura will quit making the RSX after 2006 and what was on the lot was all that was left! To my surprise 3 of them were Type-S cars. This is the higher-end equivalent of the Civic Si. AND they had SILVER, my first color choice. :-)
The deal came together quickly, and I was pleased with the trade-in allowance this dealer gave me for the BMW. It was a few THOUSAND dollars more than the Honda dealers would give me. While they didn't budge from the asking price for the car (they had the last ones left in the state of Washington apparently), the trade allowance made the car about the same price as the Civic Si - and loaded with more features!
Now, for the patience part... Most everyone I spoke with at the Dealership was a new employee. Not sure why, but they were all on a learning curve, and this resulted in LONG waits and a couple of screw-ups on their part. Nothing too major, but I would suggest keeping a close tab on how the process is moving along as a buyer.
The sales agent was GREAT - you have to ask for Clyde when you stop by. No pressure, always smiling and laughing (even at MY jokes!), and anything but a "used car salesman" personality. A couple of observations: The Sales Manager while at first friendly, became very standoffish once the deal was sealed. Maybe he's just a busy guy, but I expected better from Acura. Also, watch out for the after-purchase "options" that will come flying your way when you sign the loan docs. I did opt for the Lojack and Gap insurance, but if I would have taken it all my price would have been over $7,000.00 more! Just know what you want, and what you don't before you go in.
The receptionists, while young and attractive, are also young and clueless. But, with a little persistence they did ask the Sales Manager what should be done next, and semi-quickly resolved the delays.
I love my new Acura, and the Dealership will get good ratings from me on their survey. I'm sure the kinks in the processes will work themselves out as the staff is on board longer. :-)

First Experience: Ok, so in October of 2004, we wanted to look at a van they had posted online. We called in advance to get some info on it. We got there, ofcourse the caravan is the base model, exactly not what we were looking for. Ofcourse they had a couple of other vans we "might be interested in." We checked them out, and ended up driving one home, a really nice 2004 Chrylser Town & Country. My husbands idea. That overall experience is what I would call average. I have had various dealers tell me that they had a certain vehicle still on their lot, and when we get there it's "Oh, we must have sold it, would you like to look at....." We actually loved the Town Country Van.
Second experience: Even thought we loved our T &C, it had a couple of problems. Since it was still under warranty, we took it back to Bill Pierre to have it serviced. Their Service department sucks. They are very friendly and helpful taking appointments and helping you with the warranty people. But their mechanics suck. It took 4 trips to the service department to fix the problem. I would drive it home and still hear the knocking sound they were suppose to have fixed. Then the straw that broke the camel's back was when the mechanic forgot to put in the large bolt that attached the wheel to something very important(I don't know all the technical terms). Now, along with the knocking sound there was a grinding sound after picking it up from Bill Pierre. That metal piece that was suppose to be bolted could have gotten stuck in the wheel while driving ad cause a serious accident! The guy who handles the appointments was very upset about this, and ofcourse they fixed it right away!
Third experience: We actually Totalled the van we bought from Bill Pierre on christmas 2005. Fun Stuff. So since I really liked my van, I started to look online again for another Town & Country. Found a couple, called bill pierre up, they said "stop by we will have it out front for you". I get there, no one knows what I am talking about. They cannot even find the van I had called about. Disappointed, I went home without a van. They tried to show me several others, but they were not vans I had found online with all the specifications we wanted. They lost a sale that day.
I won't buy another vehicle there again.
