I've been going to My Coffee House on and off for about a year now. The cafe still has the same great toys it always had, but there have been a few changes. First, the staff was notably more kid-friendly the last time I stopped by. Before, they felt like bored teens in a cafe that just happened to have toys. Now the baristas Second, the cafe was much more crowded - I'm glad this place is thriving and hope copy-cats spring up, but expect things to get a little hectic. It still doesn't match the mall playgrounds in mid-winter, though. The rest is about the same - the food choices are great for kids, the bathrooms need toilets with lids to keep kids from sticking their hands in the toilet water, the toys are great but possibly dangerous for younger kids, the coffee is mediocre and only slightly better than Starbucks, and overall the place has some "rough edges". However, it tops my list for indoor places to hang out and relax while the kids have fun even though it takes an hour to get to for us. On the other hand, I'm expecting more places like this to show up soon - this place is so crowded, there is obviously a market for this special family-friendly type of cafe. There is definitely still room to improve, and I am sure someone will improve.

My Coffee House is an extremely kid friendly coffee shop in Seattle's Madison Valley. My wife and I took our daughter there on Saturday AM. While we ate delicious bagels (fed ex'd from NYC - not kidding) our daughter (the Shark in my profile pic) played with blocks, trains, and other kids in the spacious play area. It's a great place to spend a morning with kids.

Those of us with busy, curious, rampaging toddlers need places to go where we can chat without having to apologize for the fact that our kids act like kids. My Coffee House is a decent option. On one hand, the play space is large and full of toys. On the other hand, it is way too crowded most of the time, it is pretty dirty (and I am not a clean freak by any means), and the staff seems to hate the customers. You be the judge.

This coffee house has a play area with every toy imaginable for kids. They have a Thomas the Tank Engine Table, books, legos, a kitchen, dinosaurs and boxes of assorted baby and toddler toys. They have comfy seating, magazines and drink holders for parents. They get their bagels from H&H Bagels in New York City (although the last one I had was stale), a great kids menu and yummy coffee.

Looking for a place to enjoy a latte with your kids in these months of pouring rain? My Coffee House on Madison Street in the Madison Valley area of Seattle offers the perfect setting. A bank of high backed benches divides the coffee house. One half houses the barista stand, and the other a large play area encircled by seating where parents can visit as their children play. They have a variety of toys including a train table with many trains and a kitchen set. My toddlers enjoy pulling out the boxes housed under the benches of additional toys. My seven year old is happy to play with her sibs, or curl up with one of their books in the corner loft. My Coffee House offers the usual pastries and bagels for hungry customers. Check it out!
