For a fun trip on a lazy day, or especially to entertain out of town visitors, a ride on a Washington State Ferry is a must. For about $6 you can enjoy the skyline of Seattle from the deck of the ferry on the Seattle-Bainbridge run, pass Alki, stop for lunch or a walk in Winslow on Bainbridge, and return to the big city. Plenty of photo opportunities, no touristy spiels, and best of all this feels like the real thing because the islanders really do use these boats as part of their everyday life.

Here in the very heart of seattle is a Hilton hotel that is really a botique hotel. Everything about this hotel tells you it is a small, intimate, service oriented hotel with every amenity that the huge hotels have. I think it is only about 250 rooms and feels both small and large at the same time.
The lobby is incredible. Whoever did this design was really smart. The small intimate restaruant at the Top is incredable. Not only is the view great, so is the food and service. Kudos for the management of this property! It's the details that make this particular property so wonderful, from the staff, to the design, to the food, to the clean fresh rooms. If Hilton did more of this, they would lead the world in the hotel business!
Pros: staff, intimacy of space, food/cleanliness

This is one of my favorite hotels to stay in during a weekend great away to the city. The rooms are very nice and the beds are very comfortable, it is hard to get out of them in the morning. The views are unbelievable too. I have stayed here 3-4 times and every room I have had was spectacular. The staff is delightful too. We had a bachlorette party here one time and they went out of their way to get us anything that we needed. Great shopping and places to eat nearby. I will be coming back to this hotel for future stays.

Living in the Eastlake neighborhood is quite a luxury. I throughly enjoy visiting the friendly staff in Lake Union Mail and when I have a letter or package to send it is quite simple to send it through Lake Union Mail. And they have a great variety of stamps, my favorite is John Wayne.

I have experienced two in city
moves with this company in the
past four years. I could not
recommend Mike and his crew more highly. They are fast,
efficient, helpful and considerate. They arrived on time and completed the job within the estimated time frame. Their charges were very reasonable and not a single item was damaged or broken in either move.

If you've never been on Seattle underground tour, you're missing out! This is a fascinating little slice of Seattle's history that many people don't even know about. I've been several times - I think this is a must for out of town visitors - and as a resident, I always enjoy it as well! The tour guides are hysterical - and knowledgable, and they make the tour interesting and fun. This is not suitable for young children - or anyone who can't manage many, steep stairs.

Inn at the market is a beautiful boutique hotel right next to Pike Place Market. The staff is very professional, and the rooms are beautiful. Nothing can beat the harborviews from the suites. While expensive, the Inn at the Market is a great place to splurge for a weekend in Seattle. It's great location means you can walk around downtown easily, and come back in the evening to rest in your Tempurpedic bed and plush robes. My husband proposed to me at the Inn at the Market and the staff were very cooperative in helping him complete his elaborate plan.
