I booked my honeymoon flight through STA last week and it was a great experience. I had been frustrated working online to find deals, and actually got a much better deal through their agency. On top of that, the agent that worked with me offered us a number of unique options that we had not considered, and we ultimately chose one of these. Highly recommend to anyone!!

You are never to old to use STA travel services. STA is of course the budget travel center for students. These same deals are available though to anyone who is involved in the academic world or is a teacher. STA gives those who meet its membership criteria access to special discounted fairs and is also a great place to go if you are planning a around the world trip. They sell eurorail tickets as well and offer a wide range of Lonely Planet books and other travel accessories in their office. There are STA affiliated offices around the world and discount are available for members in many countries. Also, even if you are not a student or teacher you can sign up for their membership if you are under the age of twenty six. STA also will help you find very cheap hotel rooms and offers travel insurance. The people who work here are helpful and courteous.

Ive used this agency a few times to get tickets for Japan. They seem to always have the lowest prices and are willing to shop around for you. The staff is friendly enouph and if you have to change dates on your ticket they will do their best to accomodate with minimal change fees. These days its all about price and they have great wholesale prices and last minutes prices too that are released by the airlines a few days before departure.

I walked into Passport Travel only because I had an appointment next door and was planning to go home and book our winter break mexico trip that evening at home. I had done most of my research and had pretty much determined what I wanted to do, where to stay, etc. I saw the American Express Travel sign and thought I'd pick their brain as to what they thought about my ideas. They loved them and insisted on getting a quote for me to. Within minutes I had found out vital information that the internet had failed to tell me - the much needed swimming pool at the resort I had chosen was going to be closed for rennovation for 4 or the 7 days of my vacatioon. In fact, the agent explained that may have been the reason that this resort was offering some great deals. She was quickly able to find a comparable, actually higher rated, resort nearby which had all of it's facilities in tact and the price was lower. I was actually skeptical but just returned from my vacation and can tell you it was one of the best ever. I will use Passport Travel again in the future.
Pros: had important information, price was at least as good as the internet
Cons: nothing major

After some searching, I have finally found a local, independent travel agency that is worth the service fees. I had tried using a travel agency in Fremont but had terrible service. Then I called Magnolia Travel & Cruise to plan my New Zealand vacation. I got Rachelle and she way wonderful. Having just been there she was full of ideas and suggestions. Their prices are fare and service outstanding.

They provided the cheapest tickets that anyone can provide. That's all i cared about. Service can improve, but i rather save hundred of dollars (I saved 1000 for this summer's trip) than get better service any time! Way cheaper than many competitors I checked

I like this travel agency, especially for buying airline tickets to go to Japan. They seem to be cheaper than other places, and they speak Japanese too. It's also nice that they have always been so prompt so send me any information that I asked for, when I have asked them questions or ordered tickets through them.
