I'm not sure who loves this place more me or the kid. He and I might fight the mom over the title actually. We love to just kick it here and we are always inspired to find new ways to play. We love the story times and snacks. We love the train table and tent. We love the kitchen and the cozy book readin' chair. Oh, and the toys are great too. The kid feels welcome here and that is often in short supply in some toy stores.

Oasis really is a haven, a retreat, a harbor, a shelter. If you don't believe me, just visit one Saturday morning. It begs you to stay, sip tea, and wile the time away looking at hunderds of unique pieces of art, jewelry, scarves, gifts. I, actually, reserve their meeting room for staff meetings. My staff and I will trek all the way from downtown Seattle, because you'd be hard pressed to find a more inspiring ambiance. The owners are divine, and they have the cutest bulldog in the history of bulldogs. If you've looked everywhere and nothing has moved you, try Oasis. You won't be disappointed.
Pros: Ambiance, Customer Service
Cons: You'll want to spend a good portion of time. Don't be in a rush.

I visited this store frequently back in the late 80's when it first opened. Loved the concept then, loved the toys. Moved away in early 90s and just learned that it is still there! can't wait to visit again! Happy for the family that it worked out so well.
Pros: User friendly

I have been taking my 3 grandsons for a few years now as an annual event in the spring or summer. They love it and I am in grandma heaven watching their creativity flow! The staff are always helpful and kind. Afterwards, we go have lunch and in a week are excited to come pick up our projects to see how they have turned out.
Pros: Favorite for self expression

No matter the age of the child (or inner child for that matter), this is a great resource! When I went for the first time, I had no idea they could have so many educational items in such a small space. They have everything from logic games to laminated posters for classrooms or for your home (especially useful for the first-time-mom syndrome ;)). It's not just math, but subjects using that part of your brain - geography, logic, etc...I agree that you need to take your time when you go in - it's fun to sort through. In addition, their employees are very helpful when looking for something appropriate for a certain age - they genuinely seem to love their job...and that's refreshing.

A terrific selection of learning toys, the ones you'd never find in a Toys R Us. Those are mostly junk with a few redeeming qualities. Top Ten Toys only stocks quality toys with maybe 1% junk. As an adult, I loved going to this store when my first child was a baby. We could have spent all day here (the adults) looking at these toys, and blowing our wad. Quality demands a higher price, because it will last longer (probably till your grandkids), so this place is worth it.

Looking for toys you know you won't find at the big box toy stores? A place with toys that actually encourage your child to develop and think and create? This is your toy store. They also have a great selection of books that go way beyond the typical children selections. We even bought some very high quality Redline BMX bikes there (after trying the inferior bikes from the big box stores). It's also a great place to get unique birthday gifts or to find your favorite toy that you enjoyed as a child
