I have to echo the other reviews, this store not only has a great selection of all types of kites but also a lot of cool toys for young and old. They helped me move up to stunt kits as well and they helped narrow down my choices to one that I could more easily handle as a beginner.
I enjoyed the fact that the employee helped me with advice on how to launch and fly the kite. It was a fun and pleasant experience, just like you'd hope a kite store to be!
PROS: Excellent selections; friendly and helpful employees

I was a stunt kite newbie and went into this store to buy my first kite. Wow, I was amazed at the many different kites I saw there. A very friendly staff helped me narrow down my choice and got a reasonably priced one ($50 Beetle) to start with. She also taught me the different wind scales, and what kind of conditions are good for kite flying. I highly recommend this place to any kite flying enthusiast.

This is a fabulous specialty kite shop just west of Gasworks Park on Stone Way (near the Transfer Station). Bright kites, flags, banners aren't hard to miss. Easy parking always and a plethora of things to browse. Full of dollar gifts for filling birthday party bags and plenty of kites to bring a smile to most faces. Well informed and friendly staff will assist you with your purchase. We've been flying a kite from this fabulous shop for 11 years!

My son Adam and I have adopted Gasworks Kite shop as one of our Top 10 fun stops. We both love to visit the shop's toys, and talk with Jennifer and Doug. Their inventory of fun little toys is a must for my young son, and the kite stuff is great for me (an avid stunt kite flyer).
If you're looking for a kite - Gasworks is your place to visit. Be sure you plan to spend a few minutes to take full advantage of their knowledge and to enjoy the toys.
