This is definitely a place I recommend you to go to get a real relaxing and good massage. They take care in sitting down with me and talk to me before the Massage to find out all they can about the massage I need. The staff is skilled, resourceful, and well-educated. They are highly skilled with surprising sensitivity and strength. The clinic staff is very professional and caring and the rooms and lobby are clean and very comfortable. They are best at being professional, not wasting your time, and making sure you are one happy satisfied customer. I can't wait to go back and recommend this place to you if you want to relax and have a good massage.

Karen Lucas has a true gift for counseling. She is real, sincere, honest, patient and trustworthy. I never feel judged for the things I share with her. I feel that she handles me and my worries and thoughts and feelings with care. She nurtures my growth and helps me to put my realizations into action. And she isn’t afraid to ‘say it like it is’. She is helping me change into the person I want to be – she is helping empower me to be authentically me.

When we moved to Seattle in 1997 I had to figure out where to have my hair done. A friend told me that Gene Juarez is always a good choice, so I called for an appointment. Well, my first appointment there was scheduled with a stylist who was not able to see me after all that day. Instead, the receptionist had Yent do my hair. And boy am I glad that she did! Ever since then I have been having Yent do my hair. She has seen me through a wedding and the birth of two children and has always been able to make me feel glamorous.

Luata is absolutely amazing and you should look no further than her!
Honestly, I am hard to impress and have been exposed to all different kinds of practitioners: from fancy spas to therapeutic massages in China. By far, Luata is the best! Why? Aside from her caring, compassionate demeanor and understanding of the human psyche/condition, she has an unparalleled understanding of the human body and how it works (or doesn't as the case may be).
I was lucky enough to find her after an extremely painful shoulder injury. She got me in quickly and helped me feel better with that massage - it was phenomenal, as nothing I had tried worked. (I'm a medical doctor, so I had tried pretty much every pharmaceutical I could to relieve the pain and decrease the extent of the injury.) None of those things touched the pain and tightness the way Luata's healing massage did.
I was a convert that night. Since then, I have been going back to her weekly for shoulder & knee pain, IT band tightening and problems related to my scoliosis. She has got me feeling better than I have in years.
Oh, and if that wasn't enough, I am very impressed by the fact that she is constantly educating herself and clearly has a passion for lifelong learning.
It has been a true pleasure to get massages from her and I recommend her to whomever I can.
So, go to Luata's website and make an appointment. It is the best gift you can ever give yourself.
Pros: Unsurpassed knowledge of the body, caring, compassionate
Cons: None

I have been taking Pilates classes at Todo Bien for over a year now and I have to say it is some of the best instruction I have received. It is also a great location for me (Tangletown neighborhood). The massages are not half-bad, either. The setting may be a little low-key for those used to the more high-tech Pilates studios, but the price is RIGHT ON, the space is charming and cool, and the teachers could not be better.

I have always led a very active lifestyle and have felt the stress it has had on my body. For years I had thought of regular massages as a luxury. Now that I have had weekly massages with Jan, I believe it is not only an enjoyable and relaxing experience, it is a necessity to my overall well-being.
When I first went to Jan, I was surprised at how she was so attuned to my own personal health needs. She asked many questions to learn more about how she can help me. I could tell that she not only knew about massage as an art form, but she also knew how to use it as an effective tool to heal. Her massage room is warm and inviting. I soon found that all the knots in my back were magically melting under her fingertips. I quickly realized that this one-time “luxury” needed to be a part of my weekly routine.
Jan has proven to be a true professional as well as a master of technique. I never knew my body could feel this healthy! She has definitely played an important part in my efforts to manage daily stress and maintain my overall health.

I have had many massages at different spas and it's usually a bit of a crapshoot - you never know what to expect. Since about a year ago, now me and my honey just go to Dreamclinic. Convenient hours and they have great depth when it comes to staff. They must have a great hiring process because I have never had a bad massage. Keep it up Dreamclinic!

I am a long time client of the Ballard Health Center. I originally went in for back pain from sitting infront of my computer all day. I could not believe what a difference regular massage has made. The staff if very professional and talented. They don't charge extra for using the whirlpool, hot stone, deep tissue etc. I highly recomend this center.

my eyes get droopy just thinking about a visit to the seattle massage and reflexology center.
whenever i go there it's the ultimate in feel-good and relaxation, and i've had some amazing after care benefits too.
you start with a nice, hot soak and the therapist will add an aromatherapy oil to the bucket. then you hop up on the table and experience an hour of incredible reflexology that'll make your goosebumps get goosebumps! the rooms are comfy, the therapists are nice (my fave is lisa dowling), and for me the best beneift is that when it's all over, you still feel great. i've had burst of energy after a reflexology session that lasted days.
if you're interested, give it a shot - it's worth it
